If you went beneath the Open Hand Temple while investigating the murders, you probably have a Flower Key in your inventory. It’s found on the bodies of the Bhaalists, but its purpose isn’t clear at first glance. So, here’s what to do with the Strange Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3.
What to Do with the Strange Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3
Gathering more keys than you know what to do with doesn’t take long, but the Flower Key helps you solve the murders happening around Baldur’s Gate.
Go to Fraygo’s Flophouse
To use the Flower Key, your first stop is to the South Span of Wyrm’s Crossing Waypoint. Directly across the street from the Waypoint is Fraygo’s Flophouse. If you haven’t completed “The Pale Elf” yet, you can find the Vampire Spawn that Astarion wanted to search for and question about Cazador’s ritual here as well.
Find the Large Wardrobe
Once inside, go upstairs and to the room with beds and chests. Use the ladder on the wall to go up another level. You can see that there’s another room on this level, but there’s no door inside to enter it. However, interacting with the large wardrobe in the hall uses the Flower Key and lets you into the secret room.
In this room, you’ll find temple plans, a bloodied note, and a body under the bed. These can be used to prove that the refugees weren’t behind the murder at the Open Hand Temple. After gathering the evidence, take it to the lead investigator to progress the quest “Investigate the Murders.”
That covers what to do with the Strange Flower Key in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you want to enter the secret room without it, climb onto the balcony and lockpick the door from outside.
