You might’ve stumbled upon a stained-glass mosaic while working your way to the Githyanki Crèche. Interacting with it begins a puzzle to collect the ceremonial Warhammer in BG3 and a few other weapons. I’ll tell you how find the Ceremonial Weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where are the Ceremonial Weapons in BG3?
You can find both Ceremonial Weapons in Rosymorn Monastery, but you may have to fight for each one. The Ceremonial weapons are a Ceremonial Battleaxe and a Ceremonial Warhammer. The third pedestal that gets a mace doesn’t need a Ceremonial weapon, so you can use any mace for that one. I recommend Rusty Mace at (X:85, Y:30) if you don’t have one on you or the one in the grave on a cliff outside of the Monastery.
How to Get the Ceremonial Battleaxe in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Ceremonial Battleaxe is at (X:105, Y:45), behind the Enchanted Door. Access it directly by destroying the door or going through the cracked wall on the right side of the room. The battleaxe is in the middle of the room, but it’s being protected by a Spirit Guardian. You can either take down the guardian in combat or do what I did and use a Mage Hand cantrip to throw the axe toward you and flee combat if it stats. Either way, that’s how you get the Ceremonial Battleaxe.
How to Get the Ceremonial Warhammer in BG3
The BG3 Ceremonial Warhammer is at (X:78, Y:41), which is at the top of an eagle’s nest. Naturally, the eagles aren’t happy that you’re in their territory. You can fight them or use Animal Handling to calm them. I used Speak With Animals for a similar effect and stole the Warhammer with my invisible Rogue. If you fight them, I recommend focusing down the big one, or she’ll call for help from more eagles. The fight isn’t that hard, and you can grab the Warhammer and go fetch the mace next if you haven’t already.
After you find the Ceremonial Weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3, go back to the glass mozaic room. I suggest utilizing the “Place Item” function from your inventory to put the right weapon in each slot. Put the Warhammer on Seed’s pedestal, the battleaxe on Vaseid’s pedestal, and the mace on Stockhold’s pedestal.
Your reward comes in two parts. First, a secret wall will open where you can pick up the Dawnmaster’s Crest, which makes getting the Blood of Lathander easier. Secondly, your entire party will get a Radiant damage buff on your weapon attacks until the next Long Rest making any Monastery and Creche fights easier.
That concludes my guide on where to find the Ceremonial Weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3. From here, check out our BG3 guide hub for topics like preventing the Zaith’isk debuff or who should even enter the Zaith’isk.
