How to Fix Validating Loop in Battlefield 2042

Recover Your EA App

Although the validating loop bug has been persistent in Steam app, it’s directly connected to the EA app, which is a part of the Battlefield 2042 package. I’ve laid out all the necessary steps on how to fix this issue:

  1. Go to EA app for Windows webpage.
  2. Select “Download EA App” option.
  3. Install the EA app from your hard-drive.
  4. You’ll see a message notifying you that you already have the EA app installed.
  5. Select “Repair” on the pop-up window to start the recovery process.

When it’s done repairing and recovering all the corrupted files after the latest update, the validating loop shouldn’t be bothering you any longer.

Some players have also reported that they had to manually delete the EA cache files and install the EA app from the game folder. If you have any extra issues, then try this:

  1. Find and delete “C:\Users\[USERID]\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts” folder on your PC.
  2. Go to “\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042__Installer\Origin\redist\internal” folder.
  3. Right-click on the “EAappInstaller.exe” file.
  4. Select “Run as Administrator” option.
  5. Press “Repair” button to reinstate all the deleted files.

Clear Steam Download Cache

It’s also possible that Steam cache files may be the cause of the infinite validating loop, so try this solution:

  1. Launch Steam app.
  2. Click the “Steam” button in the upper left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Settings” option.
  4. Go to “Downloads” tab.
  5. Click the “Clear Download Cache” button.
