Rosy Cottage by wabiii
The Rosy Cottage farmhouse mod changes the outside appearance to one covered in roses with different colors available for the siding. I went with the simple pink and white exterior, though you can choose from black and white, brown, blue, and blue and white.
(AT) Cottagecore Beds by JellyPaws
This mod is great for those that want some cozy-themed comforters for their bed. I know if I’m going for a complete look then I need all details to match the aesthetic, even the blankets.
Cottagecore Fences by Gweniaczek
Fencing is an often overlooked item when it comes to cottagecore. Whether it be wrought iron or curved wooden gates, the Cottagecore Fences mod has you covered.
Starry Sky Interface Reworked by snowypines
The Starry Sky Interface is one of my favorite mods. The mod has been worked on by various people, so you want to make sure you have the Reworked version. It still functions for 1.6, though all the new items and tabs included in the update retain the original design, which can be a bit jarring.
DaisyNiko’s Earthly Recolour by DaisyNiko
At first glance this mod may not seem like much, but it redoes all the outdoor color tiles in game to make the palette more natural. The buildings are more inline with the environment, the shades of trees, grass, and dirt have been upgraded.
Elle’s Seasonal Buildings by junimods
Elle has a variety of mods that fit the cottagecore aesthetic. Out of all of them, though, the Seasonal Buildings mod does the most for your farm’s appearance. There are multiple options for how you want your farmhouse to look, the Silo, the Barn, and what material is used. On top of that, the buildings change in appearance according to the season.
Coii’s All Hats Pack by Coii
There are plenty of hats in the game, and this pack takes that to a new level. While you’ll find traditional baseball caps and masks in the All Hats Pack, you’ll also find flower crowns, bows, and wraps perfect for your cottagecore character.
Coii’s Girls Set Pack – Character Retexture by Coii
Coii strikes again. This time, female outfits have been redesigned to include more dresses in various styles. A simple way to add a new look to the lineup.
Pastel Floral Tools by swiftishere1
Tools are used all the time in Stardew Valley. Whether you’re watering plants, mining ore, or digging up, the Pastel Floral Tools mod will give your implements a softer look. Adorned with vines or flowers, your axe, hoe, or fishing rod will be just as cottagecore as you are.
Shardust’s Pastel Furniture for Alternative Textures by Shardust
Finding furniture that matches the vibe you’re going for can be tricky. The pastel furniture mod gives you a range of shades to pick from, including lavender and baby pink. You can change the color of your fridge, decor, armchair, or couch.
(CP) HxW Farmers Market Furniture – Wildflour Set by Hime and Wildflourmods
The Farmers Market Furniture is such a fun mod. It adds so many cute decor pieces that you can plop around your farm to enhance those wildflower, sunny day vibes. It does require a base mod for certain items to function, so make sure to read the description.
Wildflower Grass Field by DustBeauty
What’s cottagecore without a field of flowers? The Wildflower Grass Field takes normal grass and upgrades it to a dreamy flower field. It automatically changes with the season, so you don’t have to worry about having a field full of brightly colored plants during the winter.
Medieval Buildings by Gweniaczek
Another building retexture, Medieval Buildings, changes all structures on your farm to stone and wood buildings. The mod comes with an option for more foliage, which gives buildings an overgrown ivy look. This is great for those wanting a storybook vibe with less pastel.
Cottage Core Walls and Floors by DatGrayFox
While most of the building mods have focused on the outside, the Cottage Core Walls and Floors mod takes care of the inside. Select from a range of wallpaper featuring frogs and mushrooms, or install new stone floors with a range of colors. I personally went with frogs, and they made my home so much cuter.
Elle’s Cuter Barn Animals by junimods
Another mod by junimods rounds out our top 15 list. The Cuter Barn Animals mod is just one of theirs that focuses on altering the appearance of animals in Stardew Valley. I like this one because I’m focusing on barn creatures, but you can also find Cats, Horse, and Coop mods that allow you to select the color of your animals.
How to Install Mods for Stardew Valley
To install most Stardew Valley mods, you’ll need to install SMAPI. This allows you to manage all other mods for the game easily. Along with SMAPI, you’ll have to use either the Content Patcher or Alternative Textures.
Most of the mods in our article use the Content Patcher, though the mod description or tags will state which you need. The title may include AT or CP, denoting which platform is used. Thankfully, most mods will be available for both.
Keep in mind that any unofficial modding you do can corrupt your game and affect game files.
Those are the 15 best cottagecore mods for Stardew Valley. Whether you’re looking for a farmhouse upgrade or pastel tools, these mods have you covered. For more mods, walkthroughs on the 1.6 update, or how to obtain certain items, check out our Stardew Valley guide hub.
