What Druid Feats Should You Pick in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Lucky

The Lucky feat gives you three luck rolls per long rest. You can use these on attacks, ability checks, and saving throws. If you find yourself always failing these throws often, like I do, this feat will surely come in handy.

Alert

Alert is a feat that’ll benefit almost any class. I even included it in our best Wizard Feats guide. This feat will give you a +5 bonus on Initiative rolls that’ll make sure you go first. You’ll also gain immunity to being Surprised, making you always ready for battle when you’re least expecting it.

Tough

If your Druid is taking too much damage and dying in battle, you’ll want some extra health to beef them up. The Tough feat allows your Druid to gain an additional two hit points every time they level up. Having extra health is never a bad thing, and this will ensure that you’ll be able to take on a few more hits.

Skilled

If you don’t want any new spells or abilities, you can always choose to increase your skills. The Skilled feat lets you gain proficiency in three skills. Since Druids will be casting a lot of spells, you should add one to your Arcana. For the other two, I would recommend Nature and Animal Handling since both fit the archetype best. However, Stealth and Athletics are always good go-to options as well.

Resilient

Resilient allows you to gain an extra point in any Ability. Similar to building a Wizard, I recommend adding it to Constitution, as it gives you better stamina and physical endurance as well as a +2 to Constitution Checks. Since several concentration spells will require you to roll a Constitution Saving Throw to keep them active, this is a great way to hold your own in battle.

Ritual Caster

Ritual Caster allows you to learn two Ritual Spells. Since a Druid is all about nature, you should pick Speak with Animals to fit the role better. Plus, you’ll be able to talk to best-boy Scratch all you want, which is honestly the best reason to get it. As for the second spell, I would recommend Longstrider since it allows you to increase your movement speed.

Elemental Adapt

Druids will be casting a lot of elemental spells to deal damage. Elemental Adept allows your spells to ignore any resistance. This means you can cast powerful spells like Scorching Ray and Lighting Bolt and not worry about running into any weaknesses. This also means that if you cast a water spell to get targets wet, Lightning will be extra effective, and fire spells won’t be weakened.

Magic Initiate

If you want a wide range of spells for your Druid, you should pick Magic Initiate. I find that choosing Cleric spells is the most useful for this class since you can heal yourself and your allies if you don’t have a dedicated healer. It also comes in handy if you’re just in a tight spot.

Spell Sniper

For those looking for a more aggressive playstyle, Spell Sniper is the way to go. This feat will give you an extra Cantrip to learn, and you’ll land more Critical Hits. This will stack with any spell that makes an attack roll. That means a spell such as my personal favorite, Scorching Ray, has a chance to get a critical hit each time.

War Caster

For any spellcaster — such as Wizards, Bards, and of course, Druids — the War Caster feat is the best. This gives you Advantage on Saving Throws to maintain Concentration on a spell. You can also use Shocking Grasp as a reaction to a target moving out of melee range. Shocking Grasp is extremely helpful if you find yourself fighting any Steel Watchers in Act 3, including Hellfire Watchers or the Steel Watcher Titan. Being able to maintain Concentration will make sure you don’t waste any spell slots in tight situations.
