Best Farming Missions in Earth Defense Force 6

Who knew that causing a mini extinction event could be so fun?

EDF 6 has a lot of missions, 206 to be exact (if you include the DLCs). That’s a lot of missions! However, not all of them are ideal for farming. Some are even a downright pain to get through. The following missions are the best farming missions in EDF 6 because of how straightforward they are. You get in, slaughter everything, and leave with some new toys in tow.

The Best Farming Missions in EDF 6: 1 – 50

These are some of the best farming missions in the early game.

Mission 20: Melee at the Pier

Melee at the Pier is the first “traditional farming mission” in the game and it’s about as straightforward as it gets. As soon as the mission starts, you’ll start getting swarmed by hundreds of red ants. Use crowd control weapons like napalm or shock drones to halt their advance and keep on shooting!

Mission 25: Sniper Unit

Air Raiders should have a field day with this mission. Mission 25 has you defending a railway track with a few sniper teams by your side as hundreds of Species β swarm you. This mission is practically an open field, which makes large AoE weapons especially effective. Make sure to also bring a high-damage weapon for taking out the beta king as well as his escorts.

Mission 37 has you participate in a last stand as hundreds of different enemy types assault you. It’s actually easier than it sounds, just make sure to bring some turrets and some AoE weapons and you should be fine. There’s also a lull in the fighting near the end that’s the perfect time for running around and picking up the loot boxes scattered on the ground.

The Best Farming Missions in EDF 6: 51 – 100

For the mid-game, these are the missions to run if you want to farm.

Mission 51: Grande Demolitions Unit

Mission 51 is practically the exact same Mission as 25, just instead of species β you get swarmed by hundreds of grenadiers. Grenadiers drop more loot than species beta anyway, so it’s even better. Kill everything but one grenadier, then run around the map and pick up everything. As with Mission 25, use AoE weapons and high-damage single-target weapons.

Mission 57: The One-Eyed Giant

The One-Eyed Giant has you taking out five different Collosi spread out in three groups. The Colossi are pretty tanky so make sure to bring a high-damage single-target weapon to take them out. This mission also has a lot of regular androids that like to swarm you, so make sure to bring a rapid-fire weapon to take them out as well.

Mission 63: Collision on the Plains

This is one of the most entertaining missions in the game, and it’s a hell of a great farming mission as well. As the name suggests, this mission takes place in a wide open plain, perfect for Air Raider call-ins and other AoE weaponry. Snipers are also a good choice on this map as there are a lot of Colonists that spawn, the rocket launcher variant of which can be particularly dangerous against your friendly tanks.

Mission 98: Lured by the Shadow Fish

If you love fighting Scyllas then this is the perfect mission for you. It’s a relatively short mission, taking only about 10 minutes to complete, during which you’ll have to contend with about 20 Scyllas. Make sure to bring a vehicle to hide in from the Scylla’s belly flops and to give you an increased radius for looting at the end.

The Best Farming Missions in EDF 6: 100 – 147

In the late game, these are the farming missions you should prioritize.

Mission 109: Aliens Attack

This mission sends practically every enemy type present in the game at you in one unending offensive. Thankfully the attack waves are separated by a short pause each time, giving you just enough time to loot. Use whatever loadout you feel most comfortable with but prioritize AoE weapons as there will be hundreds of enemies to contend with.

Mission 117: Base 228 in Peril

Mission 117 is a recreation of one of the earliest missions from EDF 5. It’s a fairly simple mission with only two types of enemies, ants and teleportation anchors. Bring a long-range weapon for the towers and bring a rapid-fire or AoE weapon for the ants. By the end of it, you should have dozens of loot boxes to pick up.

Mission 126: Pouring Into Town

Pouring Into Town has you fighting multiple ant types as well as their queens. Prioritize taking out the queens in this mission as they’re the ones who will give you the biggest headache, after that it’s the golden ants, red ants, green ants, and finally the regular ants. Good luck!
