Best Kindling Pals in Palworld

Make cooking or smelting even more efficient with the best Kindling Pals.

One of the most important skills in Palworld is Kindling. This allows you to use structures like the Campfire or Furnace. With the right Pals, these tasks can be completed quickly and automatically. In this guide, I’ll cover the best Kindling Pals to keep at your base.

Kindling allows you to cook food by using the Campfire. Although you can do this yourself, it can be automated by a Pal with this ability. I find this most useful in the early game for cooking Berries to keep my Pals fed and happy while they work all day.

Additionally, Furnaces require a Pal with Kindling. Unlike cooking, you can’t refine Ore yourself. So, if you want to make Ingots, get yourself a Fire-type Pal. Ingots are necessary to make tools and structures when you reach higher levels.

Foxparks is, without a doubt, the best early-game Pal with Kindling. It’s easily available in the Windswept Hills, down the hill from where you first spawn. In fact, this was the only Kindling Pal I had for the first few hours of my playthrough. However, it only has Lv. 1 Kindling and nothing else. So, while it’s good initially, it won’t be efficient in the long run when you need to refine materials quickly. As such, you’ll want to replace it when you have the chance.

Reptyro

Reptyro is one of the most useful Fire-type Pals with Lv. 3 Kindling and Lv. 3 Mining. You won’t need the Kindling skill constantly, so once it’s done with those tasks, it’s just as effective when assigned to the Stone Pit or mining Ore. To capture it, you’ll need to travel to the volcanic region on the west side of the map. However, it’s worth the trek. There you’ll find plenty of Fire Pals, the Fisherman’s Point Settlement (-480, -744), and Alpha Pals like Jetragon and Blazamut.

Suzaku

If you’re looking for the most dedicated Pal for Kindling tasks, Suzaku is the one for you. It has a Lv. 3 in Kindling. This means it’ll get its task done very quickly and won’t get distracted with other tasks. You can find it in the desert biome around the Dune Shelter Settlement located at 356, 347. I keep one at my base constantly to smelt Ore into Ingots.
