Whether he’s your first pick or you’re looking to try King Shark, Nanaue is the game’s tanky brawler that becomes unkillable with the right build. He’s also surprisingly fast and agile thanks to his air dashes. Here’s my best King Shark build in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.

What’s the Best King Shark Build in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League?

King Shark is all about damage at close to medium range. Thanks to his traversal abilities, like frontal and vertical leaps combined with swift air dashes, his playstyle is hit-and-run, despite his size. My build involves quickly darting around, taking out key targets in combat as you build up your combo, and then blasting enemies with massive damage increases at around combo x40 to x50.

I’m always on the move with this build, using air dashes and horizontal leaps to avoid damage as much as possible. Sliding and holding his Apex Predator to keep momentum and leap immediately are key. If you need to reach higher platforms, don’t be afraid of landing quickly and using a fully charged vertical leap. I use Heavy Weapons and grenades to build up combos before switching to Shotguns for beefy enemies and bosses.

Best King Shark Talents in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

I focus on Talents that boost King Shark’s firearms, as our main weapon options are Heavy Weapons and Shotguns. As for Strength and Dominance, I’ll focus on close-range damage boosts. I won’t go into melee damage too much besides Shield Harvests, since our main damage comes from firearms. We must stay on the move to avoid taking damage, despite our increased health pool. Lastly, in Powers of the Ancients, I’llfocus on boosting the damage and availability of our Atlantean Drop and Suicide Strike.

Here are the best skills for a high-damage King Shark build. I’ve only listed Tiers where you must make a choice:

Best Firepower Talents

  • Tier 2

These Talents and Abilities offer the best damage for Heavy Weapons. We’ll sustain ourselves through Shield Harvests and Suicide Strikes, which build up incredibly quickly once Shark Rage activates. Avoiding hits by moving between cover, thus keeping our combo at x40 or above, is crucial for our damage and sustain with Shark Rage. That’s why I stressed a hit-and-run style of gameplay rather than tanking with damage-reduction talents.

Here, I’m focusing on Shield Harvest Chance and Shield Regen through Ocean Blessing, Oceanic Focus, and Shark Tank. Moving and avoiding hits is again important to build Powerful Strikes and keep the Talent active. I try to keep within 20 meters of enemies for the damage boosts to work, but I also recommend moving away and repositioning at times if that keeps your x50 combo active.

Best Powers of the Ancients Talents

  • Tier 2
    • Jump the Shark
  • Tier 4
    • Flying Fish
  • Tier 5
    • Depth Re-Charge
  • Tier 7
    • Shark Recuperation
  • Tier 10
    • Ultimate Shark Strikes

Since we’re moving constantly and shooting from the air, Jump the Shark, Flying Fish, and Shark Recuperation increase our damage, combo, and shield generation. Additionally, if your goal is to deal as much damage as possible from your Atlantean Drop, take Streamline. However, I prefer Depth Re-Charge for a more consistent drop to Shield Harvest enemies with our gear choices later. Lastly, no matter who activates the Squad Ultimate, you have plenty of Suicide Strikes to keep your Shield up throughout the fight with Ultimate Shark Strikes.

Best King Shark Squad Skills in Suicide Squad KJL

As for Squad Skills, I’m focusing on these:

  • The XP Boost from Up Close and Personal.
  • Heavy Weapon Damage from Killing Things.
  • Shotgun Damage from Killing Things.
  • Shield Boost from Up Close and Personal.

If your other characters aren’t using Heavy Weapons or Shotguns, then I would take more general Talents, like damage while airborne, shield harvest chance, and damage dealt during Squad Ultimate. That said, note that those are only available at total character Levels 45 to 75.

Best King Shark Weapons in Suicide Squad KJL

With the Talents I recommended, King Shark excels with a Heavy Weapon main and Shotgun secondary. You should use Heavy Weapons to build up combo and maneuver. Then, I like going in close and personal on bosses and bigger enemies with a Shotgun once I activated Shark Rage and Powerful Strikes. That said, it’s better to stick to the Heavy Weapon’s longer range if you think you’ll take too many hits going in with a Shotgun. That will just drop your Combo.

The best King Shark Weapons are Black Mask’s Bulletsrom, Bizarro’s Undeath Ray, Lexcorp Shotgun, Riptide, and any Lexcorp Grenade.

You can get Black Mask’s Bulletstorm, a Notorious weapon, either from the Deluxe Edition or by crafting it at Penguin’s shop. It’s a great option with a high rate of fire that carried me to Level 30 with Shark. Just make sure to spread your damage to 3 enemies to trigger the burn effect. Once you unlock Infamous gear, switch to Bane’s Heavy Weapon.

Bizarro’s Undeath Ray is a g great general-use shotgun. But if you’re wearing the LexCorp Infamy set Shield and Traversal mod, then a LexCorp brand shotgun will do more damage.

I use the version of Riptide where melee hits send enemies flying in Slow-Mo for 5 seconds since we’ll be using melee strikes only when Shield Harvesting anyway. And thanks to our LexCorp Infamy Shield and Traversal mod, LexCorp grenades do incredible damage.

I suggest Overhauling for Augments that boost damage to afflicted enemies, boost damage when the magazine is above 50%, offer critical hit chance, and boost XP. Reroll them until you get some of these, and then Toyman can change specific ones. The best Affliction for me so far has been Deep Freeze, since it boosts firearm damage. I infuse my melee and grenades with those. That said, once you pick up some Infamous Bane Gear, then the Crazed Affliction becomes more important.

Best King Shark Gear in Suicide Squad KJL

As for other gear, like the best King Shark shield, I recommend the following:

  • Infamous LexCorp Shield Mod: Boosts our Shotgun and Grenade damage.
  • Infamous LexCorp Traversal Mod or Lumerian Curse: You can double up on the LexCorp damage boost but I’ve been recently using the Lumerian Curse traversal mod that makes enemies Shield Harvestable if you hit more than 3 of them with the Atlantean Drop. It’s great for sustain.
  • Neck Bomb Mod: Any that offers XP boosts, Shield Harvest chance, or general damage boosts to afflicted enemies.
  • Lucky Charm: Similarly to the neck bomb mod look for damage boosts to afflicted enemies and shield boosts.

I often check back with Penguin and Toyman to both Overhaul my gear and change specific augments. This is how you can pinpoint the exact augments you want.
