Best Territory Deviants in Once Human

Grinding resources isn't for everyone. If you're one of those people who hate to grind resources, get yourself the following deviants.

The post-apocalypse can be a pretty lonely place. Fortunately, Territory Deviants exist to offer some companionship and help around the homestead. Some are obviously better than others, so let’s take a look and see what the best Territory Deviants are in Once Human and why they are so good.

The Best Territory Deviants in Once Human [Ranked]

A Territory Deviant is only as good as the services it offers. Some of them are crucial and can save you a lot of time, and others are just a waste of a containment unit and should be avoided.

The Digby Boy: S-Tier

Pros:

  • Acquirable early on.
  • Doesn’t take a lot to keep happy.
  • Collects every type of minable resource, even while you’re logged out.

Cons:

  • Can easily clutter your storage space with resources you don’t want or need.

There are a few Deviants in Once Human that can be considered essential, and The Digby Boy is one of them. It’s undeniably one of the best Deviants, as it partially eliminates the need for you to mine for resources. If you manage to get a couple of them and a mining platform, then you practically never have to mine for resources ever again.

H37: A-Tier

Pros:

  • Scavanges rare materials for you even while offline.
  • Can be acquired via a quest.

Cons:

  • Requires a lot of electricity to keep happy.
  • Can clutter your chests with useless garbage.

Just as with The Digby Boy, H37 is another one of those essential Deviants. While not as useful as Digby, H37 more than pulls its weight, especially in those moments when you’re lacking one or two units of materials, and you need to craft something. The only downside with H37 is that it requires a lot of electricity to keep happy, so make sure you have the infrastructure to accommodate it.

Paper Doll: B-Tier

Pros:

  • Keeps your homestead maintained in pristine condition.
  • Can salvage random junk from time to time.
  • Doesn’t require a lot to keep happy.

Cons:

  • Isn’t as efficient as H37 for collecting materials.
  • Pretty dull looking.

Paper Doll might not be as efficient as H37 at collecting materials, but it’s still worthwhile to keep one around just to keep your territory in top shape. It’s particularly useful after a raid when you need to repair your compound, but other than that, it’s a plain Deviant with nothing special about it.

Logging Beaver: C-Tier

Pros:

  • Useful to have if you’re planning on starting a new territory.
  • Can be used in tandem with the Logging Platform to optimize your wood income.
  • Collects wood even when you’re offline.

Cons:

  • Isn’t as useful once you’ve built out your base.
  • Can easily clutter your inventory with needless wood.

Logging Beaver isn’t a bad Deviant at all. The problem with it is that its usefulness only goes up to a certain point, and after that, it becomes redundant. The reason it becomes redundant is because it only collects wood, unlike Digby, which collects every minable resource around you. Once you build out your base, that’s it! You don’t need a steady supply of wood anymore.

Extradimensional Cat: D-Tier

Pros:

  • Great for companionship on account of how cute it is.

Cons:

  • Its ability isn’t that useful.
  • Can be a waste of space.

Personally, I adore the Extradimensional Cat. It’s a 6ft overgrown cat that’s an instant heartthrob the moment you see it. However, I can’t deny that its functionality isn’t that good, all things considered. Its ability helps you heal faster while sleeping, which is practically useless. But hey, at least it looks cute.

Fetch-A-Lot Bunny: F-Tier

Pros:

  • Relatively easy to acquire.
  • Looks cute.

Cons:

  • It’s practically a slightly less effective Logging Beaver.
  • Waste of a containment unit.

The Fetch-A-Lot Bunny is better left unfetched. Its unique ability is a direct downgrade from Logging Beaver’s. The only thing it’s good for is acquiring certain herbs and flowers, which is practically useless as you only use those for making teas.

That’s it for the best Territory Deviants. Make sure to capture as many of them as you can, as they can really ease your life. Another thing that can ease your life is visiting our Once Human guides hub, which has the latest tips and tricks about the game.
