With no new Fallout game in sight, you may be wondering whether you can play Fallout 76 single player if you need your fix. Here’s your answer.

Can You Play Fallout 76 in Single Player? Answered

As a regular player of Fallout 76, there’s no way to go through the game without encountering others. You’ll see them during events, while doing quests, or simply exploring the Appalachian wasteland. That doesn’t mean that you have to play with them. You can finish most of the quests in the game without any assistance. Events need multiple people to successfully complete, however

Fallout 1st Solo Benefits

If you’re a member of Fallout 1st, the subscription service for FO76, you have a couple more options when it comes to single player gameplay. If you’re looking for an experience that is truly single player oriented, you’ll need to pay up to partake.

The first is to create a custom world just for you, with things changed to your liking. If you get bored of being on your own, you can always invite up to seven friends to join you. If you change your mind, though, you’ll have to revoke their access as shared worlds can be played in even if the owner isn’t online. This custom world isn’t linked to any of the public ones, and you won’t have any achievements recorded.

The other option is a Private Adventure, where the world remains the same but it’s locked for yourself and seven friends. Unless you invite other players, no one else can access this world. Unlike the custom one, this is linked to your public playthrough and your achievements will be recorded. You can take the character to the regular world if decide for a change, or want to partake in limited time events.
