Mana Crystals in Cat Quest 3 are used to conjure magic spells, each spell costing one crystal no matter the strength. Each player will start the game with just one crystal, but there are ways to increase this limit. This is especially important for players focusing on spellcasting. Here’s how to get more Mana Crystals in Cat Quest 3.
How to Get More Mana Crystals in Cat Quest 3
There are two main sources of Mana Crystals: some are given by the bizarre purple humanoid figure hiding between the trees of some of the game’s islands, while others are awarded as the result of side quests. Entering New Game+ mode will allow you to raise the Mana Crystal cap even further.
The side quest in question is that of Mage Bonnie, which ends by activating the game’s Blue Pillars in the right order. If you’re having problems completing this quest and finding this additional Mana Crystal, you can follow our dedicated Blue Pillar guide.
Where Are the Mana Crystal Men Hidden?
These “Mana Crystal men”, for lack of a better word, are as close to a human as you’ll find in the game. Upon finding one, you’ll receive a vision of many massive humanoid figures floating in space. They speak of ancient prophecies, of cats and dogs, and of artifacts like the North Star. Not that we care about it. What matters to us is the end of each scene, when the mysterious figures give the protagonist a Mana Crystal, to aid them in their mission.
Above you’ll find a map with the position of all the Mana Crystal men we found circled in red. You’ll find one in Furtigua, and the other on the main island of Twilight Isles. Even with the help of this guide, you’ll have to look carefully. Those creatures tend to blend into the surrounding forestry.
