How to Quickscope in CoD MW3

This technique requires you to have a top-tier sniper rifle and quickly aim down sights for lightning-fast elimination of an enemy with a single shot. If your technique is correct, your enemies won’t even have time to respond. Although it’s really hard to master at first, I listed a short instruction for a quick reference on how to quickscope enemies easily:

  1. Center your target in the crosshairs.
  2. Use your scope to zoom in and adjust the aiming.
  3. Take a shot as soon as you’re ready.

Note that this action must be performed as quickly as possible, so practice it in the game as much as you need until you reach good results.

Best Quickscope Sniper Class Setups in CoD MW3

Currently, there are three Sniper class setups in CoD MW3 that show the best results when quickscoping, including:

  • Longbow Sniper Rifle (Unlocks at Level 7)
  • KV Inhibitor Sniper Rifle (Unlocks at Level 4)
  • FJX Imperium Sniper Rifle (Unlocks at Level 55)

I personally prefer the Longbow sniper rifle due to several factors, including increased damage output, which may take as little as a single shot to take out an enemy. That’s just great for quickscoping, whereas the KV Inhibitor may not have such impressive power but can get there with a few well-selected attachments.

Also, Longbow works much better at long range, while the KV Inhibitor does better at close-range combat. Lastly, Longbow has top-notch accuracy, but it may be harder to use than KV Inhibitor, which can be very convenient at times due to its handling characteristics. Lastly, the FJX Imperium sniper rifle can be used as an alternative for the Longbow rifle.

Best Quickscope Loadouts in CoD MW3

Let’s take a look at both of these class setups and figure out the most optimal quickscope loadouts for each of them.

Best Longbow Quickscope Loadout

  • Muzzle: HMRES Mod Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: XTEN TX-12 Handstop
  • Rear Grip: Demo 650 Grip
  • Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
  • Ammunition: .338 Magnum High Grain
  • Magazine: 10 Round Mag

The HMRES Mod Suppressor muzzle is an essential attachment for the Longbow sniper, which not only suppresses the noise of the shots, but also extends their range. This is especially important if you engage in long-range quickscoping.

Since aim-down sights (ADS) play a huge role in quickscoping, you’ll definitely need a solid underbarrel for improved handling, such as the XTEN TX-12 Handstop. It improves a number of the Longbow’s features, such as horizontal recoil, bullet spread, and tac-stance spread.

You’ll need laser light for close-range quickscoping, where you won’t have time to look through the scope. The SL Razorhawk Laser Light will tighten your hip fire crosshairs, reduce bullet spread, and improve shot positioning. Of course, it will reveal your own position, but it won’t matter much in close-range combat.

The best sniper cartridge in the game is definitely the .338 Magnum High Grain ammo. It provides the highest possible damage and bullet velocity, which will allow you to shoot at super-long distances. But since the default cartridge is quite small, you’ll also need an additional 10-round magazine.

Best KV Inhibitor Quickscope Loadout

  • Barrel: Kastovia JEK-40 Barrel
  • Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor
  • Stock: Ivanov Wood Stock
  • Rear Grip: Broadside Factory Grip
  • Ammunition: .338 Magnum High Grain

If you’re not comfortable quickscoping at longer ranges, then this sniper loadout should be more suitable for you, since it focuses on midrange combat. Here, the Kastovia JEK-40 Barrel grants tight precision that will benefit the accuracy of all your shots.

Staying stealthy is the basis of successful quickscoping. That’s why I urge you to equip the Sonic Suppressor muzzle, as it’ll not only reduce the sound of your shots but also remove any visible traces of your bullets. On top of that, it’ll boost your aiming down sights (ADS), making it easier and quicker for you to acquire targets.

You’ll probably be moving a lot while quickscoping with this build, so you’ll need a tight stock that will improve the handling of the KV Inhibitor. The Ivanov Wood Stock is designed specifically for steady aiming while moving, which will help your overall aiming stability.

Best FJX Imperium Quickscope Loadout

  • Barrel: TAC-Command 19
  • Muzzle: Nilsound 90
  • Underbarrel: Keystone Handle
  • Rear Grip: Skull-40
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Stock: FJX Kilo-TAC
  • Ammunition: .408 High Velocity

Since the FJX Imperium has a slightly reduced bullet velocity, I strongly recommend equipping the Nilsound 90 muzzle to improve this feature as well as suppress the sound of the shots. It also smooths the recoil, making it easier to hit targets.

As is the case with the Longbow’s ADS, the Skull-40 rear grip increases the speed of your aim-down sights, improving the aiming process significantly. Also, if you’re sprinting and quickscoping, it’ll help you gain the target much faster.

I have to admit that, although the FJX Imperium is a solid late-game sniper rifle, it does have a lack of recoil control. So you’ll most likely need the FJX Kilo-TAC stock to make it less jumpy when performing a series of quick shots.
