In many multiplayer games, challenges are the best ways to level up, and sometimes they’re tied to the main story. That’s the case in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. Here’s how to repair a vehicle tire in CoD MW3.
How to Repair a Vehicle Tire in Call of Duty MWZ
Early on, the Act 1 challenges in MW3 Zombies have you killing 30 zombies with a vehicle and repairing 1 vehicle tire. There’s no clear way to complete the second objective, but thankfully, repairing a tire in MWZ is a very easy process.
- First, find a vehicle. It doesn’t matter what kind of vehicle it is. It can be an LAV, a truck, or a hatchback sedan. As long as it has tires, you can use it to complete the challenge.
- Drive the vehicle to any gas station. Gas stations serve two purposes. They do, of course, refill your vehicle’s gas tank, but they also repair your vehicles, including tires.
- Shoot out a tire. Once at the gas station, get out of your car and shoot one of the tires on your vehicle. So long as there are no zombies or other enemies nearby, the tire will be repaired in a few moments.
Why Doesn’t the Tire Repair Gauge Fill?
If there are any enemies nearby, not only will the repair gauge stop working, it will begin to degrade. Make absolutely sure the coast is clear. Also, the repair tire challenge won’t complete until your vehicle is fully repaired, so wait until the refuel and repair gauge fills completely and disappears.
Once you’ve done all these steps, check your progress and make sure the repair 1 vehicle tire challenge is done. It’s a little finicky in my experience, and I had to shoot out the tire and repair everything three times to get this MWZ challenge to complete. I’d also recommend sticking close to the gas station as you try to get enough zombie vehicle kills so you always have a car at the ready.
That’s how to repair a vehicle tire in MW3 Zombies. The biggest hurdle you might encounter is finding a vehicle and getting it to the gas station, depending on your spawn point. Stick to the low-threat level areas, and you should be fine.
