There are tons of new changes to cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077 after update 2.0, from what vendors sell and when they sell it to what you can equip and can’t. The Cellular Adapter implant is just one of thousands of updates, and if you plan to make a build that revolves around the use of cyberware, it’s definitely one you’ll want to have on your radar. Here’s how to get the Cellular Adapter in Cyberpunk 2077.
How to Get the Cellular Adapter in Cyberpunk 2077
Getting the Cellular Adapter cyberware is actually pretty easy. It’s available for purchase from most ripperdocs in the game, though it’s expensive. The Tier 3 version, for instance, is about 25,000 eurodollars, whereas the Tier 5 (previously Legendary) version is a whopping 85,000.
Additionally, to buy and equip the Cellular Adatper implant, you need to reach Rank 15 in the Technical Ability Attribute, then spend enough points in the middle tree to unlock the Built Different perk. You’ll also need 24 free cyberware points.
How to Cellular Adapter Works in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
With all those prerequisites met, you can purchase and equip Cellular Adapter. Depending on its Tier, it will grant an increasing number of powerful benefits. The Tier 3 version, for instance, grants:
- 98 Armor
- For each point of Technical Abilty, you get:
- 1% explosion resistance
- .5% Tech weapon damage
- .5% Health Item recharge speed
- .5% grenade recharge speed
- A solid carrying capacity increase (mine was +12.1)
- A small Health boost (mine was 2.4)
The only differences I could spot between the Tier 3 and Tier 5 versions of the Cellular Adapter were a higher Armor value (146 vs. 98) and an additional perk at the bottom: 1.6% Health Regen bonus in this case. Neither of these benefits necessarily justifies the vast increase in price, but by the time you can purchase Tier 5 gear, making mountains of money isn’t a problem.
And that’s how to get the Cellular Adapter in Cyberpunk 2077. A powerful addition to your cyberware but certainly not as essential to some kits as, say, a good Sandevistan.
