How to Change Outfits in Dead Island 2

Regrettably, there doesn’t seem to be a way to change your outfit in Dead Island 2 right now. Indeed, there’s no way to access the character packs as of the time of this writing. A recent post from the official Dead Island 2 Twitter account revealed that the team plans to deliver the packs sometime in the summer, and the ability to change your outfit will come alongside those releases.

This has caught some players off-guard. Although an exact release window was never provided for character packs, and a previous tweet merely mentioned they would be available for download soon after release, many had assumed the character packs would be coming alongside the bonus weapons packs already available in-game.

Curiously, both packs can be seen as installed on the Xbox version of Dead Island 2, but there are no options to access them or change outfits.

What’s Included in the Bonus Character Packs?

There are two character packs that are currently advertised as Character Pack 1 – Silver Star Jacob and Character Pack 2 – Cyber Slayer Amy.

  • The first will include the Rodeo Sunset costume for Jacob, as well as The Devil’s Horseshoes weapon that can be used by any slayer.
  • The second is set to have the Neurunner costume as well as The Casimir & Julienne weapon that any slayer can use.

We’ll update this guide when the character packs have been properly released, but hopefully, this cleared out any confusion on how to change outfits in Dead Island 2. If you have other questions on future content — or are looking for non outfit related tips — such as the price and what’s included in the expansion pass, check out our growing collection of Dead Island 2 guides.
