• OS: Windows 10 or 11 64-bit
• CPU: Intel Core i7, AMD Ryzen 7 Series
• RAM: 16 GB
• GPU: RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT
• Storage: 10GB

If you aren’t quite meeting the minimum requirements, you might consider boosting your GPU. However, the amount of improvement you get from a boost generally isn’t substantial. There are other ways to improve your computer’s performance, though, such as playing on lower graphic settings and locking your FPS at 30. Since Descending the Woods is entering Early Access, it’s possible that it’s not as optimized as it could be, which can affect its performance. In this case, future patches and updates could help smooth out performance.

What is Descending the Woods?

In Descending the Woods, you manage a farm and work to free animals in the surrounding haunted woods from a curse. This means that farming will be as important as rescuing and taming animals, and you need to factor in the time to explore the woods to find cursed objects.

The game is set to release into Early Access on July 12, where the developer plans to continue making improvements and additions for 6-12 months before moving into full release. However, there’s a demo available on Steam if you want to try the game rather than commit to purchasing it.

You’ll be able to choose if you want to play alone or with friends. Looking at the images and trailers, it seems like a mix between 7 Days to Die and The Forest. But I’m sure that it’ll set itself apart by having more of a focus on farming and saving animals. Since it’s not too taxing of a game on your system, you don’t need the best set-up to give it a try.
