Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer has arrived, bringing with it the Aspect of Interference. This is the latest modifier to your Guardian’s stasis abilities, giving you more options and powers for driving back the forces of darkness.
If you’re wondering how to get your hands on the Destiny 2 Aspect of Interference and what it does, this D2 Season of the Splicer guide has all the answers. It includes where to find the entropic shards needed for the quest, how to complete the heroic simulation, how to commune with darkness, and what the aspect does for each class.
How to Get the Aspect of Interference in Season of the Splicer
Acquiring the newest aspect requires that you already have the Aspect of Influence, as well as the Aspect of Control and Aspect of Destruction, so make sure you pick those up before trying to start this quest.
Speak to the Exo Stranger on Europa, and they will give you the Aspect of Interference quest. Grab your exotic grenade launcher Salvation’s Grip, which you will need to use to destroy some new entropic shards, and head to Kell’s Rising. It is located on the far northern edge of the Europa map, through the Eventide Ruins.
Step 1: Destroy Entropic Shards
Progress through the Fallen City until you reach a heavy ammo crate. Equip the exotic grenade launcher Salvations Grip before filling up your ammunition.
Just up ahead, across a small bridge, you will see the first of the entropic shards floating in the air. Fire a charged shot from Salvations Grip into it to destroy the shard, then some Fallen will spawn.
Once you have dealt with your enemies, press forward towards some platforms. The second shard is right in your path, with another few platforms on the path ahead.
Continue onward, and you will be met by a group of Vex. Clear them out, and the next shard will be high in the air, near a raised section at the back of the area. Another is in the air just past that, slightly to the right.
The final shard is in the uppermost section of Kells Rising. Access this by circling around to the left, jumping from platform to platform. You will come to a pair of large tubes forming a bridge. Once you cross that, the shard will be high to your left, directly in front of an elevated platform.
A large group of Vex will then spawn, including a particularly feisty Wyvern. Clear them out to finish this step.
Step 2: Complete the Heroic Simulation
Open the director and head to the Vex Simulation (also known as the Exo Challenge) on Europa. The light level has been increased to 1320 for the Season of the Splicer, so make sure you are prepared. This activity is designed with a full fireteam in mind, so you may want to consider bringing a few friends.
The specific mission for the Heroic Simulation changes each week, but you can plan to kill a bunch of enemies and a boss (you know, the usual). Once that is complete, head back to Europa.
Step 3: Commune with Darkness
This step should be very familiar. Head to the Ziggurat near the Exo Stranger. Once you get to the top, you will be transported inside one of the Pyramid ships.
Walk up the long staircase to the statue and Embrace the Darkness within. This will award you the Aspect of Interference, which you can now equip in your Stasis Subclass customization screen.
If you have multiple characters, you only need to complete this questline once. Any additional characters can proceed directly to the Ziggurat to receive the aspect.
What the Aspect of Interference Does for Each Class
The Aspect of Interference affects each class differently.
- Hunters are given Touch of Winter, which increases the stasis effects of their grenades.
- Titans receive Diamond Lance, which generates a melee weapon from enemies shattered or killed by stasis. The lance acts similar to the javelin, and it can be slammed or thrown, freezing enemies.
- Warlocks gain the Glacial Harvest, which creates Glacial Shards around frozen targets.
There you have it. Another Aspect, another way to use your Powers of Darkness against the enemies of humanity. Now that you know how to get the Destiny 2 Aspect of Interference, how to find the entropic shards you need, and what it does for each class, you’re ready to take on more of the Season of the Splicer.
