Destiny Farming in Skywatch in the Cosmodrone

If you're looking to get some engrams, here's a location that's worth the time and effort in Destiny.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’re at Level 20 already in Destiny, you might have noticed the need to break down weapons and armor to upgrade your equipment. Engrams provide those needed materials, as well as new items. A location was discovered this weekend that is perfect for farming those much needed engrams.

On Planet Earth under Patrol Cosmodrone, within Old Russia is a cave that spawns enemies on a timer–the perfect requirement for farming. The YouTube video shown in the header shows exactly how to get there.

I, myself, stumbled across it and must say it’s true. Not only are there engrams, ammo and enemies; but I ran into three Public Events as well in the same location.

How to get there:
  • While in Orbit, click on Planet Earth and then Patrol Cosmodrone
  • Once you’ve spawned in Old Russia, you’ll want to go to your left
  • Go under the bridge and across the dip
  • You should see the building on the far side of the valley that sprawls out before you
  • Cross the valley (airplane graveyard) and head to that building
  • Navigate through the corridors per usual
  • If you’re at a decent level, getting past all the Hive enemies should be a piece of cake.
  • Once you’re at the Wizard’s location, go into the raised area and exit left through the room with the ‘Fallen Captain’
  • Once through the corridors, you should be out in the open
  • Head towards the area where the Fallen and Hive are fighting each other
  • The cave they come out of is in the base of a small cliff that has a dome-shaped building sitting above

There will probably be other players camped around, making the cave easy to find. Just make sure to stand back behind the giant slanted slab, so you don’t interfere with the spawning system.

Take note: Some players will not be so happy to see another player in the area. So if you start getting attacked by their bullets, don’t worry–it’s a PvE area so you’ll be fine.
