Check this out for all the info on the Queen's Wrath event in Destiny!
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Destiny has been out for 2 weeks now and it’s already time for an event. The Queen’s Wrath event runs from September 23 – October 6. This event adds a new faction, Queen’s Wrath, which sells unique items. It also adds new bounties that you use to raise your rep with the new faction.

I’ll let you know all about the bounties and what’s required to get the new items. If you want anything else related to Destiny, check out my Quick and Dirty Beginner’s Guide.

This guide will cover everything on the Queen’s Wrath Event including:

  • Reef Bounties – What they are and what you get from them.
  • Queen’s Emissary Vendor – Where she is, what she sells, and what you need to buy her items.

Reef Bounties

During the Queen’s Wrath event, 6 new bounties appear daily at the Bounty board. These are called Reef Bounties and they give reputation to the new faction. They are purple and found at the below the other bounties.

There are 6 bounties that you can complete daily. 4 of them are worth 100 rep and 2 are worth 50. This gives you a total of 500 rep a day if you complete all 6. I’m sure the bounties will change daily, just like the other ones.

The first day has 4 bounties similar to the Vanguard ones. They require you to go to planets or complete certain story missions.

The last 2 bounties require you to play Crucible matches to get headshots with the hand cannon and scout rifle.

When you complete a Reef bounty, you get a Queen’s Wrath item. This is used to do the level 24 Queen’s Wrath story missions. You get one for each Reef bounty you complete.

These missions have an Epic modifier and 2 random modifiers after entering the mission. As long as you have a Queen’s Item in your inventory when completing it, you’ll get a random legendary item unique to this faction

If you join another person’s missions and you do not have a Queen’s Wrath item, you will not get a legendary item. The item goes away after completing the mission and getting your reward. You can get one for every Queen’s Wrath item you have, so if you do all 6 bounties in a day, you can potentially get 6 random Queen’s wrath legendary items every day.

Queen’s Emissary Vendor

The stairs leading up, behind the bounty board, was initially sealed off. That path is now open and it leads to the Queen’s Emissary. This is the vendor for all the unique items for the Queen’s Wrath faction.

The only way to gain rep with this faction is by doing the Reef bounties, so be sure to complete every one. I don’t know if wearing a faction item converts rep to that item’s faction like the other bounties, so make sure no faction class item is equipped, just to be safe.

It requires 1000 rep to reach rank 1, 1500 for rank 2, and 2000 for rank 3. This means if you do every bounty, every day, it will take 2 days tor each rank 1, 5 days to reach rank 2, and 9 days to reach rank 3.

One way to speed this up is getting the Queen’s Wrath chest and head pieces, and getting to rank 1 with the Queen’s faction. You get head and chest randomly by doing the Queen’s Wrath story missions. If you get both pieces, the shader and emblem from the Queen’s Emissary vendor, and equip them all when turning in bounty, you get 81 extra rep. This dramtically speeds up how fast you can rank up with this faction.

The faction sells 2 armor shaders, at rank 1 and rank 3 rep and 2 emblems at the same ranks. She also sells a unique class items for whichever class you’re playing. The last thing she sells are weapons. There is no timer, so I don’t know if the stock will refresh constantly.

That’s it for the Queen’s Wrath event. Now get out there and start doing those Reef bounties!
