The Diablo 4 Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold can be found in the western portion of the Hawezar region, which you visit during the game’s third act. It’s north of Zarbinzet, the regional capital and hub.

How to Find the Stolen Crusader Skulls

Upon arriving at the Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold, you’ll see several undead milling about in the central area. Take them out, then talk to the spirit. The specter accuses you of grave robbery. You’ll now have to defeat the spirit so you can pick up the Crusaders’ Skull. Place this in the brazier so it can be cleansed.

The next objective is to find the three other Crusaders’ Skulls. You can find them by looking for the corpses of grave robbers located in the crypts to the north, northwest, and northeast. Watch out because swarms of skeletons and ghosts will attack you. Moreover, elites will spawn once you pick up a skull.

Lastly, I picked up all three Crusaders’ Skulls while roaming around. I didn’t return to the brazier until after I acquired all of them, so you don’t have to trek back and forth while collecting these.

Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold Boss: How to Defeat the Crusader Champions

With the skulls in your possession, it’s time to place them in the brazier so they can be purified. This also starts the Diablo 4 Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold boss encounter. If you place all three skulls in quick succession, which was what I did, you’ll battle all three foes simultaneously. These are your opponents:

  • Sir Thom — A spectral Crusader that has a greatsword and shield. It will charge toward your position, denoted by a red line on the ground.
  • Sir Morholt — This one is a spear-wielding Crusader ghost. Similar to Sir Thom, a red line will denote the direction of its attack. Once you see it, expect a lunging spear thrust to follow soon enough.
  • Dame Maryam — Finally, this incorporeal lady is a caster. She’ll create several flaming orbs that surround her before throwing them all over the arena.

Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold Rewards

After beating the three spirits, you’ll be able to interact with the Wanderer Shrine to conquer the Diablo 4 Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold. Unfortunately, there aren’t many rewards here. Completing the Stronghold doesn’t unlock anything, not even a fast travel point, dungeon, or a vendor. At best, you’ll receive +100 Hawezar renown for finishing the task.

That’s how to complete the Crusaders’ Monument Stronghold in Diablo 4. For more tips, walkthroughs, and strategies, our Diablo 4 tips hub has you covered.
