The Diablo 4 Druid Class Quest Spirits of the Lost Grove has you going to the Stronghold of Tur Dulra. It becomes available when you hit Level 15 with the class, and you’ll want to complete it to unlock Spirit Boons. Unlike some other class quests, this one can be a long, intense adventure. Our walkthrough guide below tells you how to complete the Spirits of the Lost Grove quest in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Spirits of the Lost Grove Druid Class Quest Walkthrough
To begin the D4 Spirits of the Lost Grove Druid quest, you’ll need to head to the Stronghold of Tur Dulra, located northwest of Kyovashad. If you’ve already cleared out the stronghold, then you won’t have to do this part of the quest and can just head to the waypoint located there.
For those of us that have to clear out Tur Dulra as part of this quest, though, make note that the stronghold will remain two levels above your character level, regardless of your level.
How to Clear the Stronghold of Tur Dulra in Spirits of the Lost Grove
When you arrive at Tur Dulra, you’ll find multiple paths leading to the center of the Stronghold. At least, that’s how it appears. During my time attempting to get to the heart of the Stronghold, I discovered that the two most direct routes are blocked off by roots and debris.
Those areas are in the center of the Stronghold and in the northeast portion that looks like a broken circle. They’re marked with a red squiggly line on the map below. You’ll need to take the various side routes on the right side to get to the center of Tur Dulra.
Once you reach the center of Tur Dulra, you’ll see three spirits and hear a whispering voice. A scene from the past plays out, where the druids fought against a powerful demon. When complete, all three spirits disappear. You’re updated task to clear the Stronghold is to find each of them.
Where to Find the Spirits During the Diablo 4 Druid Class Quest
Each spirit is located in a separate part of Tur Dulra.
- One in the northeast.
- One in the northwest.
- One in the southwest.
When you find them, they’ll be surrounded by demons. Defeat the demons, and you’ll be able to talk to the spirit. Except things don’t go quite as planned, and the spirit, tortured for years, transforms and attacks you. You’ll have to defeat all three spirits, and the demons, before returning to the center of Tur Dulra.
How to Beat the Whispering Voice
The Whispering Voice is quite upset that you’ve freed the spirits from their torment. Upon reaching the spot you originally saw them, the voice attacks, showing itself as Baelgemoth, Infernal Tormentor. He brings along skeletal warriors from the remains of Tur Dulra.
You’ll have to watch out for his various fire attacks, but he’s not the hardest enemy to defeat. I found just focusing on him as a Werebear after dodging his fire was the easiest way to bring his health down. I did have to run for a few moments to help clear any cooldowns and heal up before diving back in to finish him off.
Upon defeat of Baelgemoth, the Stronghold of Tur Dulra is cleared. You’ll now find merchants, other druids, a waypoint, and the target of Spirits of the Lost Grove, Druid Ardreth, around the former college. You can pick up a couple of side quests, as well.
Be sure to activate the waypoint, which is in the northern part of Tur Dulra and appears similar to a wall fountain structure. You’ll be going to a few different places next, so you’ll want to be able to get back quickly. Druid Ardreth is located where the druid spirit was in the southwest region of the Stronghold.
How to Get to the Shrine of the Spirit Lord in Spirits of the Lost Grove
Druid Ardreth stands in front of an altar in the middle of a sacred space. While Tur Dulra has been cleared of the demonic presence, it hasn’t been fully healed. The animal spirits that once called the Stronghold home have yet to return. He sends you out to the Shrine of the Spirit Lord to see why the animal spirits have not returned.
How to Free the Spirit Lord
The Shrine of the Spirit Lord can be found directly west of the Firebreak Manor waypoint. It’s south of Tur Dulra but still in the Scosglen region. He’s not the hardest Spirit Lord to find, as his altar is adorned with giant antlers. When asking why he hasn’t returned to the Druids, he’ll mention that he’s trapped and must be freed.
To free the Spirit Lord, head to Faninne, the Abandoned Grove. The grove is north of the Firebreak Manor waypoint and northeast of The Shrine of the Spirit Lord. You’ll find the deer trapped in the middle of demons and carnage that you must clear before you can free him. Once cleared, you can speak to the animal and set the Spirit Lord free.
What to do With the Stag Skull in the Spirits of the Lost Grove Quest
You’ll receive a Stag Skull. Fast travel back to Tur Dulra, and report your success to Druid Ardreth. Place the Stag Skull on the central altar and interact with it to call the Spirit Lord back to his place. He will appear and speak with you. You’ll also see other spirit animals appear at the shrines around the space, following the lead of their lord.
Diablo 4 Druid Class Quest Rewards
When you’re done speaking with the Spirit Lord, talk to Druid Ardreth to finish up the class quest Spirits of the Lost Grove. You can now unlock Spirit Boons to give your Druid a boost. If you didn’t initially explore Tur Dulra, this is a good time to do so. There are a couple of quests you can take on, as well as merchants to stock up your supplies before heading out on your next adventure.
