Unlike other areas that are well known, you don’t start off with a map of the new glacial area that’s suddenly appeared. Instead of wandering through the floe blindly, this is how to get the Iceberg Map in Dredge: The Pale Reach.
Where to Find The Pale Reach Map in Dredge: The Pale Reach
You’ll need to find the Bleak Pontoon to get the map. This is towards the northern point of the area, and most likely will be near where you first arrive at the iceberg, depending on the angle you came down with.
From the Bleak Pontoon, you need to find the Photographer and feed the Narwhal. You do this by heading a bit into the iceberg, specifically take the path to the right of the Bleak Pontoon then heading left when it opens up.
Once the barrier is removed by the Narwhal, you’ll see a large space you can explore. The first thing you want to do is head to the remains of a dig camp. This is the only pier in the immediate area you can dock at without having to travel a distance.
When you’ve landed, select the option for the Frozen Cabin. The first time you enter the structure you’ll find the map of the iceberg and attach it to yours. You’re now able to see the full iceberg and all the available paths through it when you open the map.
This is extremely helpful when trying to find the Icebreaker Pieces, the Iceshaper, or solve the mystery of the ice shards. I know even with the map I was still getting turned around since everything looks the same. There are very few visual markers so you want to utilize it as soon as possible.
That’s how to get the map of the iceberg in Dredge: The Pale Reach. If you need help finding the Icebreaker pieces, or want to know how to catch each new fish species, check out our full guide hub, including walkthroughs for the DLC.
