If you’ve been diving into the final Dungeonborne playtest like me, odds are you want to know where each class stands. You’ll be pitted against mobs of enemies and other players, so you’ll want to ensure you’ve got the best chance of extracting with all of your precious loot. Find my complete tier list of all Dungeonborne classes below.
Dungeonborne Classes Tier List Ranking
All classes in Dungeonborne are subject to adjustments as the game progresses through the playtest and early access period. However, I’ve found that some classes perform better in all situations — Whether you’re in solo mode or playing with friends in duos/trios. There are currently 8 classes to choose from, and the list will likely grow with time. So, without further ado, here’s my tier list for Dungeonborne.
S-Tier Classes
Cryomancer
With a combination of slows and AOE damage, the Cryomancer has impactful gameplay that stands the test of solos or groups. However, Cryomancer remains by far my favorite class when playing in duos/trios.
Rogue
Rogue is incredibly viable for solo and team gameplay. The petrifying poison offers an undeniable amount of control during a fight, allowing you or your team to heal or pick off another player one by one. While Rogue can be useful in any match type, I prefer to play it in Solos because the cloaking ability is amazing when it’s just me against the map.
A-Tier Classes
Fighter
Your standard knight class is the Fighter. With a familiar spinny sword ability, you’ll feel right at home if you gravitate towards Knight classes in other games. The DPS is high, consistent, and easy to manage for any skill level.
Priest
Priests offer incredible stat boosts to teammates, so they’re a wonderful addition to a duo or trio. Additionally, the Divine Guidance shield gives players a real chance to fight against others in PvP battles. So, if you’re looking for a mage with heals, the Priest is a decent choice.
Pyromancer
Pyromancer has some strong abilities with fireballs; however, the class is weak to enemy attacks. You don’t have the control that a Cryomancer has, so you’re bound to struggle in Solos.
B-Tier Classes
Death Knight
The Death Knight is an interesting and unique class to play. However, it has a skill cap that makes it feel clunky to the unpracticed player. The class has low mobility and relies on perfect execution of abilities, so you’re going to struggle until you master Grasp of the Grave.
Swordmaster
Swordmaster has very strong abilities. However, the reliance on inventory swords for abilities gets tedious quickly. So, unless you’re devoted to stacking your entire ability full of swords, Swordmaster isn’t as exciting as it could be. I hope they add the option to retrieve swords from fallen foes, whether it’s guaranteed or RNG-based.
C-Tier Classes
Druid
Druids are the most recent class to join the roster, and unfortunately, they’re just not that dynamic and exciting to play at the moment. With only one shape transformation, the abilities fall a bit flat. However, you can utilize the Panther’s ability to gain space on the map, traveling at an increased movement speed.
That does it for the Dungeonborne classes ranked. Check out all our articles on the game in our Dungeonborne guides hub.
