Elder Scrolls Online: Basic Dragonknight Build

A basic low level Dragonknight build.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Like my Nightblade guide, this is just going to be my preference. I’m building a hybrid DPS/tank on my Dragonknight, so I’ve set a few ways to hold a monster in place once I pull it in. My current weapon line is two-handed, but will add in a sword and shield alternative at 15. This guide only covers the two-handed side.

Primary Skills:

I’m listing these in the order that I have them set, not in the order obtained.

  • Extended Chains – The morphed version of Fiery Grip that grants increased range. Deals fire damage and pulls target enemy to you.
  • Stonefist – Deals physical damage and knocks down enemy for 3 seconds.
  • Spiked Armor – Increases armor and reflects physical damage back to enemies.
  • Cleave – Deals physical damage to all enemies in front of you and inflicts bleed for 10 seconds.
  • Dragon Talons – Immobilizes nearby enemies and deals physical damage. Nearby allies can use the Impale synergy ability to deal damage to enemies caught in dragon Talons.
Ultimate:

I’ve taken the Ultimate that best synergizes with this build.

  • Dragon Leap – Deals physical damage and knocks back effected enemies.

This is a build I’ve used since Beta, I’ve had a lot of success with it. If there is a build that you’ve had  a lot of success with please leave it in the comments below. For more guides, be sure to take a look at the ESO team directory.
