With less than 24 hours to go before early access begins for Imperial Edition players of Elder Scrolls Online, those eager to begin exploring Tamriel might have a few questions. Zenimax Online Studios has the answers for you in their Early Access and Launch FAQ. Here is a break down of a few of the most important questions.
When Do Servers Open?
5-day Early Access
For those who have purchased the Imperial Edition, starting day is March 30th and servers will open at 7 AM Eastern time. This is for both North American and European megaservers.
3-day Early Access
Standard preorders will have to wait until April 1st till they can begin their journey. Both megaservers will open up at 7 AM Eastern time on Tuesday.
Official Launch
Elder Scrolls Online will launch April 3rd on both megaservers. Please note that the start time for official launch is not until 7 PM Eastern time, so new players without preorder Early Access will have to wait till nightfall to join the rest.
The FAQ also noted that times are subject to change so be on the look out for updated times the closer they get to launch. If you are not located in the United States, time conversion tables are available on the FAQ.
Mega Download? That’s a Possible No.
If you have not uninstalled your beta software, you do not need to download the complete game again. Run the beta launcher and the game will patch itself to the launch version. The patch released on March 27th and they recommend patching early.
How Do I Get Preorder In-Game Items?
Items that come with the Explorer’s Pack and Imperial Edition will arrive via the in-game mail system. The Ritual of Mara will be waiting in the mail system when you start the game. All other items are available in the in-game mail following launch. The only item not available through the in-game mail system is the Imperial Horse which players will purchase from any stable, price 1 gold.
The Early Access and Launch FAQ also has other questions regarding purchasing the Imperial Edition after launch as well as payment and subscription options.
