Farming Mirelurk Eggs can be a lucrative pastime in Fallout 76. Used in multiple recipes, daily quests, and as the object of challenges, finding these eggs can give you access to many things. If you’re wondering how to find Mirelurk Eggs, here are all the best locations for those who need to hunt some down in Fo76.
Mirelurk Egg Farming Locations
While it’s possible to stumble upon a few Mirelurk Eggs near water, the locations listed below have multiple nests, making them good for farming large numbers of eggs:
- The riverbanks North and South of Ohio River Adventures.
- Around Highland Marsh.
- Inside Grafton Dam pipes.
- The Mire’s Eye, northeast of Freddy Fear’s House of Scares.
- The Abandoned Convoy, between two Meat Bags on the third section.
- Hemlock Springs Dump
- Between 1 to 3 Mirelurk Eggs can also be rewarded for completing the Swarm of Suitors event.
When harvesting Mirelurk Eggs, it’s important to note that some eggs will hatch into Mirelurk Hatchling and attack you. They are easy to defeat, but you’re only able to harvest 2-3 Eggs per nest if this happens.
Be aware that there may be Mirelurks lurking around the nest locations that will attack you, as well.
Mirelurk Eggs can sometimes be bought from merchants and vendors or found in Refrigerators and Blue Coolers, so always check inventories and rummage around these locations.
What Can You Do With Mirelurk Eggs?
If you’re harvesting the Mirelurk Eggs for a challenge, you may be wondering what you can do with them. You can eat them raw, but there are multiple recipes that have Mirelurk Eggs as a component:
- Aged Mirelurk Queen Steak
- Corn Pone
- Mirelurk Cake
- Mirelurk Egg Omelette
- Mud Cookie
- Pumpkin Pie
Along with cooking food, you can complete the daily quest at Ohio River Adventures by giving Blackeye 15 Mirelurk Eggs. This is only available if you’ve completed the quest Strange Bedfellows and increased your reputation among the Raiders. Otherwise, they’ll still be hostile toward you. Completing this daily quest will give you a reputation boost, as well.
Those are all the locations where you’ll find Mirelurk Eggs, as well as cooking recipes and the daily quest from Blackeye that uses them. For more help, check out our Fallout 76 guides.
