FFXIV: How to Get the Sabotender De La Luna Mount

Sabotenders are a Final Fantasy staple, and the Lunatenders of Final Fantasy XIV quickly became fan favorites after the release of Endwalker. If you’ve been waiting for your very own moon cactus mount like everybody else, your wait might not be over yet. In this guide, we’ll go over how to get the Sabotender De La Luna mount in FFXIV.

How to Get the Sabotender De La Luna mount in FFXIV

There are three ways to get this illustrious Lunatender mount in FFXIV. Two are technically connected to each other:

• Buy it from Khloe in Idyllshire (5.7, 6.0) for one Khloe’s Gold Certificate of Commendation.
• Buy it from the Faux Commander (5.7, 6.1) in Idyllshire for 600 Faux Leaves.
• Buy it from the Market Board.

All three of these options are easier said than done unless you’ve been stocking up on Faux Leaves for the patch, have stowed away a Khloe’s Gold Certificate of Commendation, or just have a pile of gil sitting around to throw at the Market Board.

How to Get Khloe’s Gold Certificate of Commendation

You’ve probably gone through Khloe’s Wondrous Tails before, but it’s very possible you’ve never gotten a Gold Certificate. They’re only rewarded for getting three lines on the Wondrous Tails sticker board, which is a rare feat, indeed.

How to Get Faux Leaves

You need to complete the Level 80 quest titled Fantastic Mr. Faux to unlock the Faux Hollows, which is found in Idyllshire (7.0, 5.9). The prerequisite quest is a Level 60 quest called Keeping Up with the Aliapohs. This is given by the Unctuous Adventurer in Idyllshire (7.0, 5.9).

You can play the Faux Hollows minigame once a week after completing an Unreal trial that week. It can take a long time to collect the 600 Faux Leaves required since the minigame rewards aren’t exactly generous. Try testing out the Faux Hollows Solver to increase your chances of good rewards.

As much as I want to do a third header that says “How to Get Gil,” and just have it say “get Gil,” it’s a little uncouth, even for me.
