FFXIV Mining Timed Node Guide

Timed gathering nodes are more common than new miners and botanists might expect, with many of Final Fantasy XIV‘s most valuable raw materials only being available at one node at set times of day.

The aim of this guide is simply to present all of the timed mining nodes to peruse and take note of, should you not want to use a timer website. However, it does not go over gathering collectibles. We go over that in our FFXIV mining collectibles guide.

All times are based on Eorzean Time (ET). You can view Eorzean Time simultaneously with real-time in-game in the UI by going to the Character Configuration menu, choosing UI Settings, and then HUD.

Once checked, both your local time and Eorzean time will show on your HUD.

Set Alarms!

You’ll want to get cozy with the game’s alarm function to take advantage of these mining nodes, which can be accessed by entering /alarm into the text box and hitting Enter in-game.

FFXIV A Realm Reborn Mining Timed Nodes

The first timed nodes are level 50, but you should be able to attempt to gather them at level 46.

These nodes spawn once per day and are up for three hours.

FFXIV Heavensward Mining Timed Nodes

The regular timed mining nodes for Heavensward content (level 60) come up twice a day, and they are up for two hours each time.

Some of these nodes require that you use tomes to unlock them, specifically Tomes of Geological Folklore for their region.

These can be purchased from Rowena’s Representatives near the Aetherytes in Foundation or Kugane for 125 Yellow Gatherer’s Scrips, or from the Splendors Vendor in Idyllshire for five Blue Gatherers’ Scrip Tokens.

FFXIV Stormblood Mining Timed Nodes

Stormblood‘s timed mining nodes spawn twice a day, and for two hours at a time.

Some of these nodes require that you use tomes to unlock them, specifically Tomes of Geological Folklore for their region.

These can be purchased from Rowena’s Representatives near the Aetherytes in Foundation or Kugane for 250 Yellow Gatherer’s Scrips, or from the Splendors Vendor in Rhalgr’s Reach for 50 Regional Folklore Hawker’s Tokens.

FFXIV Shadowbringers Mining Timed Nodes

The timed mining nodes for Shadowbringers also spawn twice a day, for two hours at a time.

Some of these nodes require that you use tomes to unlock them, specifically Tomes of Geological Folklore for their region.

These can be purchased from the Splendors Vendor in Eulmore for 40 Regional Folklore Trader’s Tokens.
