First Heartkelp Upgrade Location in Another Crab’s Treasure

Like in any Dark Souls-inspired game, health potion upgrades are incredibly important to keep yourself sustained between Moonsnail Shells. The first Heartkelp upgrade to get an extra Heartkelp potion is hidden in one of your first missions. Here’s how to find the first Heartkelp upgrade in Another Crab’s Treasure.

How to Find the First Heartkelp Upgrade in Another Crab’s Treasure

As soon as you accept the quest from the Duchess to bring her something beautiful, you’ll continue up the castle tower to the Mooncave, where the first Heartkelp upgrade is. This is your first main mission dungeon, where you’ll unlock Umami abilities and the skill tree. That said, you’re looking for the Heartkelp upgrade, which is at the end of the dungeon, right before the boss.

You need to look for a platform with four crabs toward the end of the level and turn around to face this ledge in the picture above. If you can see the final boss, don’t drop down. Go back to look for the ledge in the picture. It’s just across the way from the crab platform. You’ll spot it by the red bottle in the screenshot and a jellyfish elevator. Climb it, and you’ll see two blue plastic swords. Wait here for the jellyfish elevator to descend and jump on it.

It’ll take you to a platform up above, which is a narrow bridge ascending upward. Go toward the end of the bridge while destroying the Umami crystal. Once you reach the top, look down.

As you look down, I suggest jumping and gliding to land on the platform below. There will be an orange pick-up there. This is the Heartkelp Sprout. Heartkelp Sprouts are your health potion upgrades, which add another Heartkelp Pod, so now you have four in total.
