Finding the Fortnite Ghost Town is a big part of this year’s Fortnitemares Limited Time Event. This is a special one designed to help players get into the right frame of mind for the best holiday of the year; Halloween. Yeah, I said it, the best holiday. Don’t @ me.

Anyway, the challenges this year include a handful of mostly-easy trials, all of which you can see right here.  However, we’re focusing on Challenge Number 3 and, specifically, the ghost town. Or, as some call it, the haunted house.

Fortnite Ghost Town Location (a.k.a. The Haunted House)

The ghost town isn’t a named place. Rather, it’s a landmark, which can make it a little harder to find than most other challenges. Further, it’s not really a town so much as it’s a house.

We’ve marked it on the map below, but if you can’t see the map for reasons only known to how the internet works, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Head to the northeast of the island
  2. Go to where the ocean splits the earth into a V
  3. Head to the northernmost point of the left-hand side of the V
  4. Get spooked by the Ghost Town

If you need more guidance, it’s just to the northwest of Steamy Stacks and can be seen as a little house on top of a hill. It’s full of fog machines, gargoyles, and even haunted furniture. This makes it a good place to tick off the first challenge: Destroy haunted household furniture (5x).

Where to Search a Chest in a Ghost Town

You’ll need to search a chest while in the Ghost Town as well, so be sure to check the house thoroughly. You’ll usually do well to check the upper floors and even the attic space if you want a sure thing.

Once you’ve actually opened the chest, then this part of the challenge will be over. It’s all with the aim of getting the rather cool Umbrella at the end of the road. Of course, the challenges also net you a host of other rewards, too, so don’t miss out on the easy level-ups that they offer.

Now that you’ve found the Fortnite Ghost Town (it’s more like a Ghost House) you should be getting closer to your goal of finishing off the Fortnitemares challenge set.

That’s all you need to know about finding the Fortnite Ghost Town location in Chapter 2. For more tips, tricks, and strategies, be sure to head over to our Fortnite guides page, which we’re currently updating and adding to as more content comes out for Chapter 2.
