Long-time fans of Epic’s battle royale should rejoice. Chapter 4 Season 5 (aka Chapter 1 Season 5) is just around the corner. With it comes a throwback to the game’s early years, complete with map changes and more. Here’s what we know about the Fortnite OG start and end times.
When Does Fortnite OG Chapter 4 Season 5 Start?
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 is launching with the Chapter 1 map this week. The current Season 4 is scheduled to end at 2 a.m. EST/11 p.m. PST. If the update follows the typical downtime schedule, we can anticipate OG Chapter 1 to go live sometime around 7 a.m. EST/4 a.m. PT on November 3. However, this is an unconfirmed start time, so we can expect to see live updates from Epic Games on Friday.
When Does Fortnite OG Chapter 4 Season 5 End?
Chapter 4 Season 5 will stay live throughout the month of November and will end on December 3, 2023. So, you’ll most likely lose access to the Fortnite OG Chapter 1 map at this time. We don’t have a confirmed end yet, but we anticipate it to conclude around the usual time of 2 a.m. EST/11 p.m. PST on December 3.
Seasons typically last 10-12 weeks, so this OG Season is significantly shorter, lasting only four weeks. Thankfully, the supposed structure of Chapter 1 will feature constant map rotations, so I’m confident the month will be jam-packed with good times.

Once OG ends, we can expect a Chapter 5 update with a new map. We’ll need to keep our eyes glued to Epic socials (and perhaps those of leakers) to find out what’s coming next.
