Baizhu has played a supporting role in Genshin Impacts story for quite some time. And, funnily enough, he’ll also play a support role in your squad. As a 5-star Dendro healer, you’ll want to find the ideal setups for him. Here’s our guide to help you with the best team comps for Baizhu in Genshin Impact.

The Best Team Comps for Baizhu in Genshin Impact

Before we discuss the ideal setups for Baizhu, let’s look at a couple of facets that make his kit unique:

  • His elemental burst creates a shield that will heal and attack enemies whenever it refreshes, breaks, or expires. It’s automatically refreshed every 2.5 seconds, for a total of six instances per usage.
  • One of his passive talents increases the damage of Dendro-based reactions done by your teammates. This is based on each 1,000 points of Baizhu’s HP, not exceeding 50,000.

Cyno Aggravate/Hyperbloom

  • Required: Baizhu and Cyno
  • Other Electro: Fischl or Yae Miko
  • Other Dendro: Nahida or Dendro Traveler
  • Other Hydro (if Hyperbloom): Xingqiu or Yelan

Without a doubt, the best team comp for Baizhu in Genshin Impact is one that relies heavily on Cyno. This is primarily due to two reasons. The first is that getting Baizhu will mean having your healer already, so you can drop Kokomi or Kuki for someone else. The second is the all-important interrupt resistance provided by shields.

Considering how Cyno is a selfish main DPS that needs to be on the field for prolonged periods, his lack of interrupt resistance makes him extremely vulnerable when he’s out swinging with his elemental burst active. Although Baizhu’s shields are relatively weak, the mere fact that they get refreshed automatically means that Cyno can tank hits while continuously doing his attack chain.

Quicken – Aggravate/Spread

  • Required: Baizhu
  • Main DPS: Alhaitham (Dendro) or Keqing (Electro)
  • Other Dendro: Nahida, Dendro Traveler, or Collei
  • Other Electro: Fischl or Yae Miko
  • Flex Anemo (if needed): Kazuha, Sucrose, or Venti

While Kuki Shinobu excels as a healer for this type of squad and, by extension, Yaoyao and Dori, Baizhu’s presence means that you’ve got a 5-star option at your disposal.

Nilou’s Bloom Team

  • Required: Baizhu and Nilou
  • Other Dendro: Nahida, Kaveh, or Dendro Traveler
  • Other Hydro: Xingqiu or Yelan

Lastly, there’s Nilou’s Bloom composition to consider. Her passive grants major bonuses to Bloom damage if you have only Dendro and Hydro characters in your squad. Since Baizhu already fulfills the healer role, you can drop the Hydro healer spot usually occupied by either Kokomi or Barbara.

All in all, Baizhu’s best team comps in Genshin Impact mostly look at the additional flexibility he provides. Before he was introduced, certain groupings were set in stone due to the selection pool of healers. Now, you’ve got someone who has the healer and Dendro applicator role, something which used to be limited to just Yaoyao. More importantly, the shield refresh from his burst ensures interrupt resistance, which is perfect for main DPS characters like Cyno, or anyone who has a longer attack sequence on the field.
