How to Unlock Armor of the Black Bear

This armor is unlocked by default once you start the New Game Plus, so you don’t need to do anything extra to get it. It’s basically a black version of the starting armor.

Armor of the Black Bear consists of the following pieces:

  • Cloak of the Black Bear (Chest Armor)
  • Wraps of the Black Bear (Wrist Armor)
  • Belt of the Black Bear (Waist Armor)

It starts at level seven and includes the following perks:

  • Shadow Step extends the duration of immunity effect when evading enemy attacks, and fires a volley of Bifrost shards during the last seconds of evasion.
  • Shadow Strike boosts the damage of the first melee attack after evasion by 20%, or by 40% if you have both perks active.

How to Unlock Spartan Armor

The shirtless version of the starting armor is locked at level one and can’t be upgraded. It also includes no perks or buffs whatsoever.

Spartan Armor consists of the following pieces:

  • Sorrow of Sparta (Chest Armor)
  • Scars of Sparta (Wrist Armor)
  • Woe of Sparta (Waist Armor)

If you wish to test your skills with this challenging armor set, then you can craft it at Huldra Brothers’ Shop for 25,000 Hacksilver.

How to Unlock Ares Armor

This armor is the same as the one in the original game from 2018. It focuses on Strength and Defense, as well as Luck and Vitality.

Ares Armor consists of the following pieces:

  • Cuirass of Ares (Chest Armor)
  • Gauntlets of Ares (Wrist Armor)
  • War Belt of Ares (Waist Armor)

The two perks of the Ares Armor set are as follows:

  • Rage of Ares grants all your Rage hits a small chance of dropping Healthstone, which in its turn also grants a higher chance of dealing Rage hits.
  • Enraged Might guarantees a 25% boost to your damage if your Rage meter is full, and 50% boost if both of your perks are active.

This excellent armor can be crafted at level seven for 58,000 Hacksilver at Huldra Brothers’ Shop.

How to Unlock Zeus Armor

The final armor set in New Game Plus is another returning set from the first game, and it focuses on Runic and Melee damage.

Zeus Armor consists of the following pieces:

  • Cuirass of Zeus (Chest Armor)
  • Gauntlets of Zeus (Wrist Armor)
  • War Belt of Zeus (Waist Armor)

Once all three pieces of the armor are equipped, you’ll get the following perk:

  • Divine Edge increases all Runic and Melee damage by 80%, but all damage received is increased by 180%.

You can get the Cuirass of Zeus by completing the main story and defeating Gna, Queen of the Valkyries. The Gauntlets of Zeus can be found in the chest at the Eastern Barri Woods in Vanaheim, and the War Belt of Zeus can be found in The Barrens in Alfheim.
