Hades Game Guide: Best Weapons Tier List

Choose the best weapon aspects and upgrades for your character using this weapon tier list guide to Hades.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Hades has six basic weapon types called Infernal Arms. Each arm has four aspects, which together makes up for a rather impressive amount of weapons. This tier guide will help you choose the best weapons in Hades for your personal build.

The overall power of each weapon is very dependent on the upgrades that you choose during your playthrough, so do keep them in mind when choosing the best aspect for your character.

S-Tier Weapons

Aspect of Arthur

  • Infernal Arm: Stygian Blade
  • Titan Blood: 15
  • Aura Damage Reduction: +40%

This weapon is also called the Holy Excalibur, a unique type of sword that has its own alternate moveset. Additionally, you also get a bonus 50 HP to your life total, which is significant.

The sword’s aura effect significantly slows down enemy projectiles and automatically disables floor and wall traps that are affected by the aura.

It’s most destructive attack is Hallowed Ground, which deals 70 points of damage at once. The two best upgrades for Aspect of Arthur are Super Nova, which increases your damage by 20%, and Greater Consecration, which increases your aura by 45%.

Aspect of Hades

  • Infernal Arm: Eternal Spear
  • Titan Blood: 16
  • Punishing Bonus Damage: +150%

This spear has a massive spin attack radius and absolutely devastating damage bonus. The Punishing Sweep special attack may last up to 10 seconds, which deals up to 250 points of damage at maximum charge.

With the help of the Massive Spin upgrade the radius increases by another 30%, and the overall damage increases by 125%.

Spear of Hades can also deal with targets that are far away using the Extending Jab upgrade that increases the damage by 40% for all distant enemies.

A-Tier Weapons

Aspect of Chaos

  • Infernal Arm: Shield of Chaos
  • Titan Blood: 15
  • Bonus Shields Thrown: +5

Not long ago Aspect of Chaos was the top-tier weapon in Hades. However, the weapon got nerfed and the pattern for extra shields was changed. It now has a much more narrow area of effect than before.

Now players need to get much closer to the enemy to make sure that it hits right where you want it to connect. This, of course, makes things more dangerous.

But other than that, Aspect of Chaos is till an amazing weapon, and with the help of the Charged Shot upgrade your Bull Rush attacks will not only deal exactly 80 points of damage, but also become unblockable.

Aspect of Chiron

  • Infernal Arm: Heart-Seeking Bow
  • Titan Blood: 15
  • Max Shots per Special: 7

Although there are various aspects to the bow weapon, the Chiron Bow still remains the most powerful ranged weapon in Hades.

This aspect seeks enemies struck by the first hit automatically, which gives you the freedom to focus on other enemies while spamming the attack button and hitting your previous target at the same time.

The Sniper Shot upgrade is a must in this case, as it increases all your damage output by 200% to all distant targets. But the best one is probably Piercing Volley, which increases all damage to armor by 400% and makes your Special attack unblockable.

B-Tier Weapons

Aspect of Talos

  • Infernal Arm: Twin Fists
  • Titan Blood: 15
  • Magnetic Attack & Cast Bonus: +40%

Gloves aren’t a terribly popular type of weapon in Hades. They can be really clunky and they fit only a very specific type of playstyle.

You need to be able to combo successfully each time in order to pull off some serious damage. If that’s your thing, then consider Rolling Knuckle and Heavy Knuckle upgrades for your Talos Fists, which are currently the best in the game.

The first one performs Dash-Strike and allows you to switch from one combo to another without interruption. The second upgrade adds 30 points of damage to each strike, while your Magnetic Cutter deals an additional 20 at each pull.

Aspect of Lucifer

  • Infernal Arm: Adamant Rail
  • Titan Blood: 15
  • Hellfire Blast Damage: 100

Igneus Eden or Aspect of Lucifer is the newest railgun in Hades, which has its own unique moveset. The best one is called Hellfire, which serves as a Special attack that bombards enemies with a detonation damage of 50-100 on a radius of 400.

That is a rather powerful railgun, but it is extremely inflexible and can become a nuisance in close range combat.

The best upgrade for your railgun would be Infinity Chamber, which literally gives your weapon an infinite amount of ammo. That’s basically god-mode without the cheats.
