Yes, I know, being a goalkeeper might be boring for most players, but someone has to do it. It’s a potentially crucial role in preventing the enemies from scoring 10 points in Quidditch, so let’s keep the spirits high. Here’s how to play keeper in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions effectively.

How to Play Keeper in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

The Tutorial for the Keeper role in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions only runs you through the basics of the movement around and between the “goals,” however, this doesn’t provide you with any extra tips on what you should do, even if it’s just philosophical advice regarding goalkeeping. Here are some tips that might help you save a few goals in your Quidditch matches:

  • Be prepared to be brutally harassed by the enemy Beater. This might be a big problem if the enemy decides to employ such tactics because if you get beaten up too much, your Keeper character will fall unconscious for a while, allowing your enemies free reign over your goal. Be aware of who’s roaming on your side of the pitch, and be prepared for evasive maneuvers to try to outlast the attacks.
  • You do not need to play as a Keeper all the time throughout the whole match. You can always tag out and switch to a Chaser role and let the AI control the Keeper if there’s no imminent danger of a goal on your half of the pitch. If you are way out of position as a Chaser and cannot catch up to the ball, just tag out to the Keeper position and try to make a save!
  • Be prepared for mind games. People will try to fake shoot at one ring and then dodge manoeuvre to one of the other two and attempt to score. Sometimes, they will directly go at one ring and never change their target. Sometimes, they will try to fake you multiple times. All in all, being a Keeper is a very unforgiving task, and you will be looked down upon if you let in a lot of goals, but you will be much more revered if you perform saves.
  • Be aware of your movement limitations. Your character cannot flash-step/instant transmission/teleport itself to one of the unguarded rings. You have to calculate what the opponent’s Chaser will do.
