Accio is among the first spells that players learn in Hogwarts Legacy. It’s also one of the simplest spells, but that doesn’t diminish its usefulness, especially if you want to collect flying pages for your field guide. Acquiring and using Accio might not be too difficult, but its versatility means that it can be used both in and out of combat.
Obtaining Accio is a matter of showing up to Charms class, and since this is part of the main questline, you don’t need to worry about missing it.
How To Use Accio In Hogwarts Legacy
After you learn Accio, Professor Ronen will set up a minigame in which you learn how to use the spell on objects. The goal is to get the ball as close to the end of the platform without it falling off. In order to do this, you’ll want to toggle Accio off by hitting the spell’s key again before it reaches the 50 point panel since the momentum will keep the ball rolling.
Outside of combat, Accio is useful for gathering flying pages that will be added to your field guide. All you need to do is target the page and cast Accio for it to be collected.
Once you’ve completed a few more main quests, you’ll be sent to Crossed Wands, an unofficial club at Hogwarts where students duel each other. You might remember the club’s name if you talked to Sebastian after your first Defense Against the Dark Arts class as he invites you to join.
During your second duel, a few students will have a purple shield. In the same manner that Levioso can remove a yellow shield, Accio can remove a purple shield.
You’ll get plenty of use out of Accio in Hogwarts Legacy, but if you’re interested in learning Dark Arts, check out our guide on how to learn Crucio, an unforgivable curse. Check out our growing list of Hogwarts Legacy guides on GameSkinny.
