Honkai Star Rail: How to Complete Road to Revival

Here's how to complete the Road to Revival quest in Honkai: Star Rail.

There are dozens of optional missions in Honkai: Star Rail, and you get your initial batch before departing on the Astral Express. The first is called Road to Revival, and you can start it by having a brief conversation with Arlan as you progress through The Voyage Continues Trailblaze quest. In our guide, we’ll tell you how to complete Road to Revival and beat its toughest (optional) enemy.

Check that the quest is in your inventory by opening the Missions screen from the start menu or pressing the J hotkey on PC. Navigate back to the master control zone, and speak to Arlan on the platform to the right of Asta.

Arlan wants to get the Curio Collection up and going again and requests that you help the researchers on Herta Space Station. The researcher Abraham will have a few words, and then you can begin your tasks in earnest by traveling to the Base Zone.

Abraham will be near a door in the northwest portion of the room, across from the Reception Center Space Anchor. Speak with him, and he’ll ask you to go into the area contaminated by Antimatter Legion. Use the orange-paneled Controller nearby to open the door and head inside.

There’s only one Antimatter Legion enemy here, and you don’t need to fight them. You can go straight past the far door to activate the Anchor and run back out.

While it isn’t necessary, there is a Level 13 enemy in the room with the Space Anchor, and you can fight it now if you choose to, though you can always come back. The enemy is weak to Fire and is flanked by a pair of standard Flamespawn.

If possible, start the fight with a full team, at least Level 8. I went with Trailblazer, Dan Heng, March 7th, and Asta with their base Light Cones. You’ll also want all your characters to have their Ultimates charged and use March 7th’s Technique to start the battle with the mobs frozen. Once the battle begins, defeat Flamespawn as quickly as possible, using Dan Heng and Trailblazer’s Ultimates as necessary.

If you’re using March 7th, give a shield to everyone, particularly whoever got hit by the boss at the start of the fight. Second, focus on Breaking the boss’ weakness with March 7th and Trailblazer attacks and Skills.

At this point in the game, you won’t have many other strategies besides “hit enemy until dead,” so make liberal use of everything you have. Be mindful of your Skill Points, and always have at least one available for shields.

The enemy only has two attacks:

  • Bellowing Inferno, a fireball that targets a single party member.
  • Rain of Purifying Flames, a swarm of five fireballs that randomly hits members of your party.

It will always use its second turn to recharge with Molten Fusion. The only way to change its tactics is to Break or Freeze it, which resets the pattern back to Bellowing Inferno.

Should you overcome this encounter, you’ll be rewarded with a Bountiful Treasure chest and an access keycard with a redacted name. Hang onto this, as it’s used in another mission on the station.

Road to Revival Part 2

If you haven’t already reported back to Abraham, do so now. You’ll complete the first part of Road to Revival, but you can head into your Missions screen for the next part, which is thankfully much easier.

This time, you’ll travel to the Storage Zone, Special Purpose Lab (Second Floor) Spae Anchor. Speak to the woman surrounded by other researchers and help her with the repairs.

Unearthly Marvel Puzzle Solution

Out the doorway to the right is your first Unearthly Marvel puzzle, where you need to step on every platform once to form the bridge. The order here is:

  • Up
  • Left
  • Up
  • Right
  • Up

A more complex version of the puzzle will come later, but that’s all you’ll need to do for now.

The treasure you saw earlier is now yours for the taking, and once you defeat the single Antimatter Legion enemy, you can head back to the woman, who will return to the Master Control Zone.

Speak to the man across from the Space Anchor, Wen Shiqi, and he’ll ask you to take pictures near the Astral Express. You can do so in the Supply Zone. Snap a pic of the train car and the little floating robot nearby.

Once you show Wen the pictures, you’ll complete Road to Revival and have access to the Herta Space Station world vendor (also Wen Shiqi, as it happens).

And that’s how to complete the Road to Redemption quest in Honkai Star Rail. It’s not the most complex of missions, but it’s nonetheless a good introduction to some of the basics of mission design.
