If you’re looking to purchase Wild Bastards, you might be wondering how many hours of content you can get out of the game. All of this depends on your playstyle, but we’ll provide you with a rough estimate of how long it takes to beat the main campaign of Wild Bastards, as well as all existing additional content in the game.
How Long Is Wild Bastards?
Beating the main campaign will take you roughly 17 hours if you play while trying to explore each sector thoroughly and completely. You can cut down the number of planets you land on depending on the path you choose and playing while skipping optional challenges and combats can cut this campaign time all the way down to 14 hours or less easily.
Whenever you die or miss an important objective in Wild Bastards, you’re sent back to the very start of the Sector. This results in having to repeat all those planets and encounters once more. If you keep losing your team on higher difficulties then you’ll be looking at 20-30 hours easily just for the main campaign.
Once you’re done with the main campaign, you unlock the Challenge Mode or the option to play the main campaign in procedural mode with Ironman modifiers. The Challenges are roughly 5-10 hours of content depending on how good you are and how quickly you can complete them. That brings up the total to roughly 25 hours of gameplay if you’re going for the campaign and challenges.
However, if you’re going for a true completionist run and want to collect all achievements, this can take significantly longer as you need to collect all character mods, equipment, and complete various difficult tasks that require a decent bit of setup in a roguelike environment like Wild Bastards.
