After the beginner’s dungeon, your next dungeon is likely the Abandoned Mineshaft in Doberkogel. Since you learn the basics of how combat and puzzles work in the first dungeon, the second one is designed to teach you to use magic. Here’s how to access the Doberkogel Abandoned Mineshaft in Dungeons of Hinterberg.
Dungeons of Hinterberg: Accessing the Abandoned Mineshaft in Doberkogel
During your second day, you’re directed to a skill shrine and learn the first magic skills you’ll pick up during the game. The first magic skills are Wrecking Ball and Ball & Chain. Marina directs you right to the skill shrine, and then you’re on your own for getting to the actual dungeon. Luckily, it isn’t far.
With your back to the shrine, you see a stack of rocks with cracks in them. Cast Wrecking Ball at the bottom of the rocks, then hit the button you use to summon it again to detonate it. This is just a small shortcut that takes you to another stack of rocks that you break in the same manner to open the path to the Abandoned Mineshaft. Then, follow the path and signs that continue pointing you towards your second dungeon until you come to a log that’s standing up and blocking your path.
There’s a black jelly object on the log, which means you can move it with Ball & Chain. Aim it at the jelly, then hit the button used to cast the spell to retract the Ball & Chain back. This brings the log down, which opens the path for you to continue down.
Finally, you reach the last obstacle blocking your path to the Abandoned Mineshaft. This one requires a bit of timing because you have to break rocks that are above a ladder. Luckily, there’s a pulley system nearby that you can use to solve this. Cast Wrecking Ball so that it rolls into the crate. Then, use Ball & Chain on the black jelly and retract it to pull the crate up. Once the Wrecking Ball is beside the rocks, detonate it to clear them away. With that, you can finally enter your second dungeon.
And that’s how to access the Doberkogel Abandoned Mineshaft in Dungeons of Hinterberg. We’re just getting started on our coverage for the game, but you can check out my Dungeons of Hinterberg review to see what it’s all about!
