How to Add More Than Four Players to Content Warning Lobby (Working April 2024)

It’s rather problematic when you have a playgroup of more than four players, and you wish to play a game together that’s made for four players. Content Warning is sadly limited, but the modding community has solved this problem. Here’s how to extend your Content Warning lobby size with a mod.

How to Increase the Lobby Limit in Content Warning Manually With Virality Mod

It’s no wonder that the modding community invented a way to bypass the limit of four players per lobby in Content Warning. Thanks to the hard work of MaxWasUnavailable, we have a Virality Mod for Content Warning. If you check out Max’s author page on Thunderstore, you’ll be able to find the Manual Download option. Make sure to download the BepInEx dependency files as well.

If you want the mod installation to be done automatically, Thunderstore Mod Manager can do that for you, for which I’ve written a handful of instructions below.

How to Install Virality Mod for Larger Lobbies, Steam Join, and Late Joining in Content Warning

1. From the Overwolf’s official page, download the Thunderstore Mod Manager.
2. Install and run the Thunderstore Mod Manager on your PC.
3. When you are asked about the game you want to mod, select or search for Content Warning.
4. Click on the “Get mods” button, as shown in the picture below.
5. Search for “Virality” in the search bar, as shown in the picture below.
6. Click on the Virality mod icon, and click Download (you will probably need to let the Thunderstore Mod manager download everything with dependencies, including BepInEx).
7. Click on the Modded button in the top-right corner to run the game with the mod(s) you’ve added.
8. Enjoy your seemingly limitless lobby with friends.

Every player in the group should install the mod to ensure that it works properly.
