FF7 Rebirth: How to Find White Terror

Locating White Terror in FF7 Rebirth isn’t an easy task. First, I need to complete the “Break in the Saddle” main mission of Chapter 2 in the Grasslands region. Then, I can unlock the “Livestock’s Bane” side quest on the notice boards. Finally, I must utilize the seeking abilities of a Chocobo or Red XIII to find the actual location of Oliver’s Farm.

But if you don’t want to do all that, then I simply recommend going straight to the area that I marked on the map below. That’s where you can find the farm, which is located to the east of Kalm in the northeastern part of the Grasslands region. That’s where you’ll find the White Terror.

FF7 Rebirth: How to Beat White Terror

I discovered that White Terror has no elemental weaknesses, which is why I decided to build a pure physical damage strategy to beat him. Also, note that he’s completely immune to proportional and stone types of damage. All this allowed me to create a perfect team composition against White Terror:

  • Cloud – the only character with the same speed and mobility as White Terror.
  • Barret – possesses massive physical power and some healing abilities.
  • Red XIII – can serve as an excellent distraction.

Once you’ve gathered the right party to combat White Terror, it’s time to discuss the exact strategy for defeating this formidable foe:

  1. Start the battle slowly by simply blocking his attacks with the R1 button. I find that Chakra Materia would be highly sufficient for this, too.
  2. Once a series of successful blocks depletes his energy, White Terror will unleash the Earsplitting Howl AoE attack.
  3. At this point, I suggest creating a distance and using Barret’s healing ability when his ATB is fully charged. Also, be sure to apply the Heal Materia to the other two characters.
  4. Once White Terror has exhausted his energy, it’s time to hit him with the Strength Up and First Strike Materia for higher damage.

A series of precise and powerful physical strikes will stagger White Terror, which will allow you to deplete his 5,000 HP quickly. I believe such a patient approach to this battle is the best, as he’s almost unbeatable at the start when his energy is high. But once he’s pressured enough, the victory is easily achievable.

A defeated White Terror will drop some important crafting materials, as well as score points, including:
