Umbreon is a Dark-type Pokemon and one of Eevee’s evolutions introduced in Gen II. Unlike other games in the series where you can only get it by evolution, Pokemon Legends: Arceus lets you catch Umbreon in a certain place. Here’s how you can catch Umbreon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
How Can I Catch an Umbreon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
Umbreon can only be found in the Crimson Mirelands, particularly in its Space-Time Distortion zone. It will rarely appear, but don’t be tired of waiting as this zone is home to many rare Pokemon including those from the Cyndaquil evolution line, as well as Eevee, Flareon, Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z including Alphas.
Space-Time Distortions spawn as the in-game time passes. Battling Pokemon and opening your inventory stops the clock, however, which means if you engage in Pokemon battles, or review and rearrange your inventory, you merely delay your chances of seeing an Umbreon.
Simply go to the Crimson Mirelands, and stand there doing nothing until you spawn a Space-Time Distortion. The longer you stay there doing nothing, the higher the chances of spawning. Perhaps you might get the chance to see an Umbreon — even an Alpha — faster than you think.
Keep in mind that there are only three rare spawn attempts for every Space-Time Distortion. The sooner you get to a Space-Time Distortion zone, the higher your chances of seeing rare Pokemon inside it. Make sure to run around to get every item you can get to get a better look at where these rare Pokemon will appear.
Where to Find Eevee
If you feel like your potentially successful Umbreon hunt is going to be a failure, you can still get an Eevee to evolve into its Dark-type eeveelution instead. Simply catch an Eevee in the Obsidian Fieldlands, work on increasing its friendship, especially at night, and let it evolve into Umbreon during the evening.
