How to Complete Dropping Eaves Spoils of War in WoW: The War Within

If you’re struggling with this quest, you aren’t alone. It turns out that the quest itself is bugged in the most annoying way, and it has yet to receive an official fix. So, here’s how to complete Dropping Eaves: Spoils of War in WoW: The War Within.

You’ll likely run into this quest while working on rumor broker activities in the City of Threads. The problem with Dropping Eaves: Spoils of War is that the quest marker on your map is in the wrong location. Instead of following it, you need to go to the alchemy trainer building that has Van’atka inside. Then, you’ll find the chest next to her. I’ve marked her location on the map above.

Aside from the issue of the marker being in the wrong place, I had a lot of issues with the guards in City of Threads. There’s a guard nearby the building that Van’atka is in, and they attacked me the second I got close to the area. As a result, it took me several tries to accomplish anything before being ejected from the city. My only choice was to kill the guard as quickly as possible, then collect the chest.

This quest is far from the only one in the new expansion that has issues. Hopefully, Blizzard fixes the many technical problems that players are experiencing. However, I understand that it’s probably a long process to go through and smooth out every reported issue. In the meantime, I’m working to help address known issues with quests and present solutions that have worked for other players and myself.
