Shadowed Prayers is an easy quest to fail since you have to capture a specific person who’s the assassin coming after Nadinia. Shadowed Prayers Quest Guide in Dragon’s Dogma 2

You can easily complete Shadowed Prayers in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by using Grab on the man with his hair tied back and a wound on his right arm during Nadinia’s prayer. To dive into more details, here’s a step-by-step guide:

• The quest will start the first time you enter Flamebearer Palace, and Ser Menella will recruit your aid.
• Return to the palace in the morning when Nadinia starts her prayer.
• You can rest at an Inn or any bench.
• Once you reach the palace, speak to Menella to start the prayer.
• You’ll have limited time to find the assassin, who has his hair tied back and a wound on his right arm.
• He’ll be on the far right side of the stairs, close to the top, as shown in the picture below.
• Use Grab on this specific NPC in the picture below.

As soon as you grab him a cutscene will play where you capture the assassin. After the cutscene, the quest will be over you’ll receive 18.000 gold, 3500 XP, and 5 Jasper which you can sell for another 4000 gold. This is also the first time you get to talk to Nadinia the Empress of Batthal. I heard that you can give her gifts like Flower Bouquets but the option hasn’t popped up for me when I tried so it remains to be seen.
