Diablo 4: How to Complete Battle of Fear and Faith

There are two milestones you need to get done to complete Battle of Fear and Faith:

  1. You must complete Chapter 3 of the Season Journey.
  2. You have to seek out and stop the Blood Harvest.

How to Seek Out the Blood Harvest

The “Battle of Fear and Faith” begins at the town of Ked Bardu in Kotama Grasslands at World Tier 1. Find and speak to Erys, who will initiate the “Blood Harvest” event, which takes place in a random area and lasts for one hour. You’ll have to seek out the next location after the hour has passed.

How to Stop a Blood Harvest

You can easily determine where the Blood Harvest is by the peculiar green tint on the map. I’ve compiled a list of all the challenges that you must complete before it’s over:

  • Offer 15 Blood Lures at the Sanguine Altar to summon Blood Seekers. Defeat Blood Seekers that drop Potent Blood to upgrade your Vampiric Powers and Seeker keys that unlock Seeker Caches, which contain Cleansing Acids, Armor Pacts, Blood Lures, and even more Potent Blood.
  • Offer 50 Blood Lures at each of the three Blood Lure Pedestals to summon the Ancients. Defeat the Ancients that drop rare and legendary items, Blood Seeker Keyes, and Potent Blood.
  • Complete Tree of Whisper events and choose your rewards. These events usually offer great collections of specific types of gear, such as helms, rings, leg guards, and accessories.
  • Complete other events that will provide more rewards and increase your Hunter’s Acclaim tier, including:
    • Activate Blood Wells (15 Points)
    • Slay Vampiric Syphons (1 Point per Vampire Unit)
    • Defeat Blood Seekers (5 Points)
    • Destroy Monument of Bones (5 Points)
    • Burn Corpse Pits (5 Points)
    • Rescue Injured Adventurers (5-10 Points)
    • Free Prisoners (5 Points)
    • Save Restless Spirits (5 Points)
    • Destroy Blood Boils (1 Point per Blood Boil)

How to Complete Chapter 3 of the Season Journey

There’s a total of four chapters in the Season of Blood, and the third chapter includes 13 different activities. I’ve listed them all below in order for your convenience:

  1. Acquire five Caches from the Tree of Whispers.
  2. Conquer any three Strongholds.
  3. Craft any five Elixirs at the Alchemist.
  4. Complete Dungeons and unlock 16 Aspects in the Codex.
  5. Upgrade any healing potion to the Light level at the Alchemist.
  6. Acquire Reputation level three during the Blood Harvest event.
  7. Destroy seven Blood Blisters during the Blood Harvest event.
  8. Consume Potent Blood and upgrade any Vampiric Power to level two.
  9. Defeat at least 12 Blood Seekers.
  10. Purify at least 700 Seeds of Hatred in any hostile area.
  11. Open at least one Silent Chest.
  12. Unlock the Nightmare World Tier by completing the “Cathedral of Light” quest.
  13. Equip any piece of armor with at least five Pacts.

Once your progress bar is full, you need to return to the town of Ked Bardu and speak with Erys once again to complete the “Battle of Fear and Faith” seasonal quest. Your rewards will depend on the level of your Hunter’s Acclaim tier that you’ve earned during the Blood Harvest event. I had some trouble claiming my rewards. This is fixed by simply logging out and logging back in.
