Castle Lovepurr is a location in Cat Quest 3 found on Lovepurr Island, in the center-right of the world map. It’s one of the longest side quests in the game, as well as one of the most original. The easiest way to find it is to start at Pawt Purvanna and sail eastward. Once you’re there, you only need to follow this guide to complete the Castle Lovepurr quest from Cat Quest 3.
How to Start the Castle Lovepurr Quest and Find All Books
Once on Lovepurr island, which you can see highlighted in the screenshot above, you’ll soon find Castle Lovepurr. Inside the building is Clawford, a tormented ghost who doesn’t seem entirely aware of his fate. He certainly doesn’t remember his past, which is why he gets the player to help him.
The first step is to recover the three books that detail the life of Clawford the rat and his pink cat partner.
Where to Find Castle Lovepurr’s Books
Each book is hidden at the end of a cave, each on a different island. You can tell which caves contain those books by the paper trail they leave behind. I wouldn’t advise you to look for those caves before triggering the first phase of this quest, by talking to Clawford.
The caves containing the Castle Lovepurr books (also highlighted in red on the map above) are on Lovepurr Island itself, on northern Purvanna, and on the larger isle of the Twilight archipelago. Each book unlocks the following chapter in this side quest.
How to Complete the Castle Lovepurr Quest
Once you have all three books, go back to Clawford. Alternatively, you can deliver each book separately and approach its three chapters separately.
Each book needs to be “solved” just like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, but much simpler. A short sentence will detail a moment in Clawford’s life, and you will have to choose how he reacts. Together, the books tell the story of Clawford falling in love with his partner, going on adventures together, and more. There is no punishment for failure and most choices lead to success, so just trust your guts. Sometimes you’ll have to fight one or more enemies: this is inevitable, but the final boss is the only encounter that poses a real challenge.
Completing this side quest will give you what used to be Clawford’s equipment: Clawford’s Hat, Clawford’s Vest, and the shield weapons Heartbreaker and Heartmender. The first three are great when used together, as they all contribute to passive damage in their own way, a great addition to the arsenal of any shield-wielding player.
