The Fleet Arrives is one of the later quests you’ll do in the new expansion. However, it’s become a source of frustration for many since it’s been bugged for some players, making them unable to complete it. If you’re having issues, here’s how to complete The Fleet Arrives in WoW: The War Within.

Normally, this quest is a simple task of speaking with one NPC to accept the quest and then speaking with another to complete it. In some cases, however, it’s showing up in Dornogal when you look on the map from elsewhere. Then, it disappears when you enter the city, and you’re unable to actually pick up the quest. It seems to affect people at random, but that makes it extra frustrating. Luckily, there’s an easy workaround.

If you’re having issues with The Fleet Arrives, Nadrik on WoWHead found a way to fix this issue that seems to have helped multiple other players.

First, go into your Adventure Guide. In the Suggested Content tab on the bottom, search for The War Within and hit Accept Quest. You likely won’t receive a quest from doing this since you probably already completed it. However, simply accepting the quest seems to fix the issue that’s making The Fleet Arrives disappear when players enter Dornogal to pick it up. Hopefully, the core cause of this issue—whatever it may be—is fixed during an upcoming patch. In the meantime, this workaround should be enough to get you back into the fight against Xal’atath.
