BitLife: Completing the Tortured Artist Challenge Tasks

This week’s tasks are:

  • Be born a female in Illinois
  • Become a painter
  • Insult 5+ different people
  • Recover from an alcohol addiction
  • Troll 5+ people on social media after they’ve trolled you

Be Born a Female in Illinois

As usual, you need to start a new Custom Life. Choose Female as your gender and The United States for Country. Then, select Chicago for your place to be born in Illinois. Becoming a painter doesn’t require going to college, so the most you can do to work towards other tasks while Aging Up is to insult any friends who decide to not be your friend anymore. You need to insult at least 5 different people, so this helps count towards that number.

Become a Painter

You don’t need a degree to be a painter in BitLife. Once you graduate from high school, go to Jobs > Job Listings and look for Apprentice Painter. Apply and answer the question that pops up to check off this task. If you don’t see it in the list, then your only option is to Age Up and try again next year until it appears. In the meantime, make social media accounts if you haven’t already since you’ll need them for the final task.

Insult 5+ Different People

So, you have a few options for insulting people. The first I mentioned earlier is to choose Insult One Last Time when your friend wants to stop being friends. Then, you might see a pop up when you move to the next year that lets you insult someone at random. And finally, you can go to Relationships > Select a person > Choose Insult or Jobs > Painter > Coworkers > Select a coworker > Choose Insult until you check off the task.

Recover from an Alcohol Addiction

First, you need to get an addiction. Sometimes, you get a pop up where you’re offered a drink. For this task, always accept drinks. If you don’t get addicted from that, go to Activities > Nightclub and choose one of the options, then accept any drinks offered. Keep doing this until you have an addiction to alcohol. Then, go to Activities > Rehab and choose one of the options. The luxury rehab has a higher chance of being successful, but it’s more expensive. If you have the money, it’s worth it for this task. Otherwise, you might have to go to rehab multiple times. If all else fails, try visiting the Witch Doctor. They can occasionally remove an addiction.

Troll 5+ People on Social Media After They’ve Trolled You

Our final task is made difficult since you can’t troll people first. So, create an account for every social media platform and start posting. A larger audience makes it more likely that you’ll be trolled, but you might find somebody troll you at random any time you post. This task is a matter of luck and persistence. Keep posting, and when somebody trolls you, select the option to troll them back until you’ve trolled at least 5 people.

And that’s how to complete the Tortured Artist Challenge in BitLife. It’s straightforward, but a few tasks require you to hope for good RNG. From here, check out our guide hub for content like how to become a secret agent or how to escape prison.
