How to Deal With Old Bird in Lethal Company

This... This is something unexpected.

Old Bird is one of the two new monsters (entities) added to Lethal Company in the v50 update. It’s an outdoor-only enemy and is the most uncanny robot I’ve ever seen (and heard). I’ll help you deal with Old Bird in Lethal Company (as much as it’s realistically possible).

What Does Old Bird Robot Do in Lethal Company?

If you wanted to play something that resembles Skibidi Toilet, your wishes have come true. Old Bird is a tall robot that you will find standing dormant during the daytime on various moons in Lethal Company. During this “dormant” phase, it’s not doing anything, reacting to nothing, and is technically just one huge paperweight.

At a set time (depending on the moon) or if the moon is Eclipsed, the Old Bird awakens and starts blasting anything and anyone in its sights. Its beam of light acts as a line of sight. It also has a built-in jetpack and can fly high.

It has two attacks:

  1. Rocket launcher, which is not very harmful to you as you may think it is. You can survive a few explosions, but be careful, they can knock you back.
  2. Old Bird can grab you (similar to how Forest Keeper does) and burn you with its incinerator. That’s an instant death, but the animation can take some time.

Speaking of Forest Keepers (Giants), Old Birds exterminate them like flies.

I’ve mentioned Skibidi Toilet, but I think that there are some other references for Old Bird. Perhaps Bastion from Overwatch (a robot with a bird on it) or the Lynyrd Skynyrd song “Free Bird” that was used for many (Lethal Company) memes. If you truly want to get into the Old Bird groove, I suggest you visit a secret moon called Embrion.

How to Beat the Old Bird Robot in Lethal Company

There’s no beating the Old Bird. You can’t kill it. You can only hide from it by evading its line of sight, trapping it in hangars on the moon Artifice. I’ve noticed that when you take out the Apparatus, the Old Birds wake up immediately.

That’s all about the Old Bird in Lethal Company. Check out the other new monster guide for Butler, as well as many other guides at our game hub.
