This earth-rending colossus packs a punch. Here's how to easily defeat Titan in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

As the first Summon Entity you can challenge, Titan packs a punch. And if you waltz into Chadley’s combat simulator unprepared like I did, you’ll quickly meet defeat. In this guide, I’ll cover how to easily beat Titan and get Titan Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, so you can take this earth-rending colossus to your foes.

How to Easily Beat Titan in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

After you get your first Chocobo in the Grasslands, you’ll meet Chadley and activate the Remnawave Tower on Bill’s Ranch, unlocking the combat simulator. Titan is the first Summon Entity available to challenge, rewarding you with Titan Materia for successfully beating it. Your party selection and equipped Materia are important here, but it’s really the Summon difficulty that makes all the difference.

Find Three Titan Sanctuaries in the Grasslands

I went ahead and challenged Titan at Full Might, which was not the best idea. I survived for about 30 seconds, so don’t make my mistake. Thankfully, you can face off against a weaker version of Titan if you survey three Divine Intel points across the Grasslands called Titan Sanctuaries. You’ll still receive the Titan Materia for beating the entity on an easier difficulty.

At each Divine Intel location, you’ll find a collection of glowing Summoning Crystals, which contain knowledge about Titan’s Materia. Each time you collect more Divine Intel for Chadley, you’ll unlock a lower difficulty of Titan’s Challenge in the simulator. It’s worth it to complete all three since they don’t take long to find, and having access to the weakest version of Titan makes the fight much easier.

Best Party Comp and Materia to Beat Titan in FF7 Rebirth

Whether you’re fighting Titan at Full Might or the lowest power level, bringing the right party with you is paramount. At first, I used Cloud, Red XIII, and Tifa, but the lack of healing and spellcasting put me at a disadvantage. The best party comp was Cloud, Barret, and Aerith, giving me a better balance between burst melee and sustained ranged damage, along with consistent heals to keep us topped up.

Using Assess on Titan will reveal its weakness to Aero attacks and its resistance to Fire, Ice, and Thunder. You can also pressure and stagger it by blocking attacks like Stonega, evading its charge, or destroying its Earthen Aegis barrier. I highly recommend having Aerith cast Aero consistently, exploiting that elemental weakness to easily pressure Titan. Then, have Barret unleash Maximum Fury to deal high damage, which can stagger a pressured Titan. Additionally, keep Aerith equipped with Healing and Prayer Materia to help when you can’t evade or block an attack.

That’s how to easily beat Titan in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to get the Titan Materia from Chadley’s combat simulator.
